About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and use my family as my taste testers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making my Grandmother's Wedding soup.
My cooking tragedies
When my brother had graduated from high school, I made his cake for the party. I had set it on the table, I guess just close enough to the edge that our Black Lab (Sam) must have thought that is looked good and took a big bite out of the corner. My most other memrobile funny tragedey is when my husband and I where dating, I had made dinner that had included mashed potatoes and we could drink them thru a straw. Every now and then he gently reminds me of this dinner.

Salmon Sarciado
I made this tonight for dinner and we enjoyed it. I have used alot of recipes from this site and only make changes when I do not have what is called for as the case tonight. Along with the tomatoes I used 1 can of diced tomatoes(zesty chili) as I did not have enough fresh to double the recipe. Also I am not sure if the egg at the end is really needed, my family feels it would be fine without and just have more of a tomato style sauce. I served with pasta and salad. We will put this into one of our many favorites for the Lenten season. Thank you for a wonderful dish that could also be made with chicken for those folks that do not care for fish.

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo
Very excellent dish, would just cut back on the red pepper as was a little to bitey for our taste. Will definitely keep in our favorites just like something you would find in a resturant.
