Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Dry as a bone. I was so excited to make this one after all the positive reviews, but it was a big dud for me. Nothing "sticky" or "rotisserie" about it at all, just dry chicken with sandpaper skin. I followed the recipe exactly.

Greek Pasta with Tomatoes and White Beans

This was just okay. I did like the combination of ingredients here. But it was just too salty for my taste. And I'm a person known to be very heavy with the salt shaker! But it only makes sense - canned veggies and beans are loaded with salt, as is feta cheese. I did not make any of the tweaks suggested by other users. This recipe is quick and easy to prepare as written. But I think it probably benefits a lot from some of these tweaks, even if they make the dish take a little longer. Though even something as simple as using no-salt-added canned tomatoes could help.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Awesome. My toddler, who NEVER eats chicken, devoured this. My husband did, too! One of the top Allrecipes I've tried, and it was so easy! We followed the suggestions by Brown Sugar Girl. (Reduced the butter by half, added garlic salt and increased curry powder.)

Salsa Red Beans N Rice

Great! I often find that "quick" recipes are disappointing - to save time, they usually have to compromise flavor. But I really liked this recipe a lot, and it was so easy. It made way too much food for one sitting, but my husband enjoyed the leftovers for lunch for several days. I did use fresh salsa from the refrigerated section of the grocery, rather than jarred salsa. I think it makes a big difference for flavor. We'll definitely have this one again.

Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Pasta Shells

This was not a hit with my family. I thought it was okay - not great, just okay - but my husband and son barely took 2 bites. I won't make this again. I followed the recipe to the letter.

Penne with Mushrooms

Easy, quick, and yummy! I added a little extra garlic and garnished with fresh basil instead of parsley, but otherwise followed the recipe. I couldn't believe how yummy it was for something so easy! Even my 19 month old devoured it. But I should point out that it contains 1/4 cup of oil and 1 T. of butter and 1/4 cup of cheese. Almost anything is going to taste good with that much fat mixed in! :) So although it's vegetarian, it's not health food.
