Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
Really great! I processed and strained the onions & garlic, used rolled oats as suggested. Plus egg whites til proper consistency like thick batter as someone mentioned. I used Franks Chili Lime hot sauce but next time I might used Red Rooster. I froze & baked them. This recipe is a keeper!!!!

Layered Chicken and Black Bean Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
YUM! I left off the green chilis but used HOT enchilada sauce, added corn, and cut way down on the cheese and sour cream. I grilled the chicken with coriander and cumin and chili powder rubbed on. We loved it. I will definitely make this again and again. Thanks!!

Cheese Wafers

Reviewed: May 22, 2009
These were good but very greasy....I used Longhorn colby and sunflower seeds. I may try them again using Cheddar but I think I'll stick to more healthy snacks. My crowd didn't eat them.

Naan

Reviewed: May 22, 2009
This turned out great on the Baking plate of my GF G5 grill!! It made five nice pieces. The flavor was pretty bland but hey, it's a blank slate for whatever I feel like adding...coriander, fresh rings of onion, cumin, tandoori paste, garam masala...whatever. Great recipe, THANKS!!

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
My family and I loved this recipe. I also opted for minced white onion instead of green. I got a little carried away with the cayenne but it was terrific. I made in on my GF grill with some homemade tartar sauce and served these cakes with mashed yukon golds and green peas. A nice simple, yet yum, meal!

Sweet Chili Thai Sauce

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
WOW! this is great! I served this with Vietnamese meatballs, and it made the meal. I thought the sweet complimented the sauce perfectly. I used Red Rooster chili pepper sauce (a staple in our house) and this recipe is going to be a keeper! I think it will be great with egg rolls and spring rolls, too. Thanks!

Culinarius' Thai Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2009
This was a good dish but not worth all the ingredients to us. I have a better dish with similar ingredients that I cook often that we absolutely love...it's Emeril's (or Doc Chey's) Red Curry Thai Shrimp Noodles. Tho I liked this, the flavors weren't enough to keep me making it.

Easy Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2009
Excellent! I think I cooked mine too long, as my loin was on the smallish side. My sauce was a bit too thick but this was definitely a crowd pleaser. I think I will add a bit more brown sugar next time, mine was not as sweet as we would have liked, but so tender!!!!

I broiled patties of this tasty meat mixture and WOW!! really great!! A little over salty but I'll fix that next time. I want to try this on the grill. I served with a little yogurt, the carrot peanut salad on this site, hummus, naan and plain green peas. Terrific Dinner!!

YUM!! I added a little sprinkle of shredded cheddar on the top too, and layered in corn and black beans. Turned out great, destined to be a family favorite.

Great!! I used julienned onions & carrots instead of green peppers (yuk) and this dish was a family pleaser. Will definitely make it again.

Cloud Nine Martini

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
I like this a bunch! I used a little more Sprite because I'm 'light weight' but the taste is so terrific. Like a candy instead of the swill my husband likes in a traditional martini, hahah!

Pork Chops with Delicious Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
A new family favorite. I served this with cheesy potatoes and green beans. I added more milk and let it cook down for more gravy. Very quick and super easy! I might try this with low fat sour cream too, and I did use skim milk and it tasted as rich as whole fat. Great!

Crispy Orange Roughy

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
I must have pressed to much potato onto these because they tasted like potato pancakes. It over powered the delicate flavor of the fish. I will try it again tho because it was so quick and easy.

Sesame Broccoli Salad

Same sauce recipe as Nigella's Cold Soba Noodles...which we love, but this didn't really translate well for me. I didn't love this as much as I thought I might, just a matter of personal taste. I'm glad I tried it.

Curried Salmon Bake

WOW! so simple, so terrific! I used 1/2 yogurt, 1/2 lite sour cream and red curry paste from a can. The taste reminded me a bit of the red rooster chili mayo in sushi. What a great flavor! We served over kasha with sliced summer tomatoes and cucumbers.
