My cooking triumphs
Baking cookies completely home made by myself for the first time ever and having the group i baked for just love them and want to take some home to share with their spouses. That just made my day.
My cooking tragedies
a glaze I put on croissants from a can. I was trying to duplicate the croissants from a bakery, I'm still working on it. Made the kitchen smell like burned ickiness and the croissants were sticky. They were editable but not great. Bakery makes them light, fluffy and with just a hint of sugar.

Easy and Delicious Chicken
This rocked! made a few tweaks but stuck to it as close as possible. :) Partially defrosted chicken partially, wish i had done so completely. Around the 7 hr mark cut up the chicken to soak in the dressing. for the last hour on high with cream cheese (i put it in chunks spread around to help it melt) we also added frozen corn. Poured it over bow shaped noodles, served with Texas Toast. Hubby said it was repeat worthy. :) next time will double the dressing and increase the chicken from 3 pieces to the full amount. the sauce was lacking in chicken but i was worried about having too much. still have lots for leftovers :) Thank you for sharing this excellent dish! :)

Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Chops
These came out pretty great, something was missing but not sure what. The hubby loved them and wants it added to the repeat list :) we both loved how tender they came out. :) we used JD BBQ sauce + garlic powder I poked holes (using a fork) in the chops, seasoned w/some garlic powder, put a thin layer of sauce (like it says), put in a layer of chops (4 total), then covered with the remaining sauce. i found it wasn't enough to completely cover so i opened a second bottle and added that. then cooked on low all day. i wasn't sure when exactly they would be done since it didn't list a set number of hours for the low setting but we knew by the suddenly mouth watering smell, hubby checked and yup it was dinner time. perfect timing. :) 10am-6pm :)

Easy Herb Roasted Turkey
we didn't pick up our turkey until the day before thanksgiving and the afternoon of my husband asked me how to cook it, i've never cooked a turkey before so how would i know. of course i came on here to see what i could find hoping it wouldn't wind up bland and dry. our options were limited by what we had on hand which is why this was picked for our dinner and it turned out great! we didn't have the right pan, so covered with foil and we left out the sage (on purpose) and we still ended up with a tasty and juicy turkey and are looking forward to left overs :-) best part of the meal :-)
