Hot Spiked Cider

Fantastic! As many other have said: I used cinnamon tea instead of orange, reduced the rum to 1 cup, and skipped the butter. Made it all on the stove and left it in the crock pot on low for whenever people wanted to get some. A big hit!

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2010
Faaaantastic! I used 1 can of re-fried black beans and and 1 can of regular black beans that I rinsed and mashed slightly before cooking them all together with a handful of frozen corn. I also halved the seasonings that went into the bean mixture and only added as much water as I wanted. Served with sour cream on the side.

Used ground ginger (that's all I had on hand) and added toasted sesame seeds. Other than that, followed the recipe exactly. Easy and awesome.

Frozen Strawberry Yogurt

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
Wonderful! I used mixed frozen berries instead of strawberries and regular condensed milk. Finally, I used vanilla yogurt and reduced the milk to 3/4 cup. It tastes awesome! Next time I'll try to strain out the seeds from my fruit puree, but it was still great.

Gelato

Wonderful! I used 2 whole eggs instead of 4 egg yolks and increased the other ingredients by 50%. It was fantastic! This recipe is definitely a keeper. I used skim milk and it was still rich and creamy.

Napa Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
Wonderful salad! I used rice vinegar because that's what I had and Pam instead of butter to cut down the fat. I also reduced the oil in the dressing to 1/2 cup, but only used about 2/3 of the dressing in total. It was yum and pretty healthy.

Awesome! I made them in regular sized cupcake tins and they baked for about 6 min. Refrigerated the left overs and baked cold the next day for about 8:30. I liked it better the 2nd day.

One word: awesome. I used only 1/2 cup of white and 1/2 cup of brown sugar and skipped the nuts and raisins. I also only used 2 16-ounce cans Pillsbury buttermilk biscuit dough and it was the perfect size.

Rave reviews from the cookie-eaters. I replaced the water with OJ and put it in the fridge for about 30 min before putting them on the cookie sheet. I'll leave them in the fridge a little longer next time.
