Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2012
This recipe is so delicious. I just about doubled the raisins and sunflower seeds and added an extra TB of OJ because I love the sweet flavor of brocolli salad dressing. I also added 1 TB of honey. Wow... will be making this again! Great recipe.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
This really is the best tuna casserole! I had honestly sworn off tuna casserole after the last time I made it and it tasted so awful, I threw it out. I love this recipe, though. Only change I made is I used 1 can COMushroom and one can COCelery, only because I only had one COMushroom. also I added a little paprika and garlic powder along with salt and pepper to add some flavor. Great recipe, thanks for sharing!

Wonderful classic meatloaf. I just add a few sprinkles of italian seasoning. I've just memorized this recipe and make it about once a month. Yum :)

Heather's Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
Absolutely hands down the best salmon I've ever tasted. My friend was over for dinner and she said she didn't really like salmon very much. Well, let's just say she's changed her mind. Absolutely no changes necessary to this great recipe. Thanks so much for sharing.

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
These muffins were so yummy! Instead of making full sized muffins, I made mini muffins... I used 1 cup regular flour and 3/4 cup whole wheat flour. Also I used half splenda and half sugar. They turned out delicious but I wish I would have read the other reviews and added some vanilla or cinnamin. They could have used a little more flavor. Good though :)

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
This was a great recipe if you like orange chicken. My boyfriend hated it, but he doesn't like much of any dinner that tastes sweet. I would maybe use less orange zest next time, I probably used too much. I loved it though! Delicous with sticky rice.

Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
This soup was SO delicous. I love squash already, but this was such a good way to make it. It was very hard to peel the raw squash, next time I would probably bake it first instead. I cut my finger! But, in the end it was worth it. I added a sprinkle of curry powder, red pepper, and garlic powder. I also put a little Schriracha hot sauce on mine along with a dollop of sour cream. Mmmmm :) delicous.

Slow Cooker Barbecue Goose Sandwich

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
Made this lastnight for the guys after they had a great day of goose hunting. WOW it was delicous!!! I did make a few small changes. I used four single goose breasts (I didn't know whether or not the recipe called for entire breasts or single breasts).Doubled all the ingredients except for the chicken broth, only did 3 cups of that so it wasn't too much liquid. Cooked on low for 8 hours. Wow I'm still in shock at how good it was, I had never had goose before. WILL MAKE AGAIN!!!!

Spaghetti Pie II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
This recipe tastes GREAT! I call it "lazy lasagna" because it tastes even better than lasagna but it's so much quicker and easier to make. It's something I definitely make regularly!

Nell's Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
This salad is great! I made it when girlfriends were coming down from up north to visit! Great as a side at any potluck or get together. I made no changes except I only had one chicken ramen and one beef so I used one chicken ramen packet and a half of a boullion cube! Not a big difference there.

This recipe was so easy, and tasted so good! I was worried about dropping raw meatballs into the soup but they cooked just fine and it was delicous. I added red pepper and garlic.

Brenda's Apple and Pomegranate Crisp

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
This is delicious! Just make sure when you're making the crumbly part that you don't melt the butter and then pour it all into the oatmeal/sugar. Because I did that and ended up with a bowl of mush. Whoops.

Gingerbread Boy Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
This is a great gingerbread cookie recipe! It tastes great, it's easy to make, and gingerbread men are just so adorable! I really don't even like gingerbread but I just made these because I know how popular they are and I was making them for giving away. They are really good, but be very careful not to burn them because you won't be able to see if they're browning or not, and if they are, then they're burnt! Also, after boiling the molasses mix, let it cool all the way because if you don't then the egg will get all curdled and then it is ruined. Let it cool and if it gets too cooled, then just warm it up a little so it all melts again and pour it into the flour. Once again, GREAT RECIPE! PLUS, no lard or shortening!

Cabbage Beef Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
I made this because I had a small head of cabbage in my fridge that I needed to use up. This soup is very good, but it is basically chili with cabbage in it. I also found it to be very salty but still good. I halved the recipe but the one thing I did change was the tomato sauce... I used one can of diced tomatoes and one small can of tomato sauce. This could account for the chili like texture... but either way it would still taste like chili. My boyfriend didn't really like it but he is picky.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
This is the best soup recipe I have ever made. I made it when my boyfriend's parents came over to see our new apartment and I really wanted to impress them, and they surely were impressed! It tastes so good and it doesn't take very long to make... just throw it all together and walk away, just like it says. It IS better than anything in a restaruant
