Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2015
I really liked this recipe. Its a bit spicy so if you don't like that I would decrease the amout of pepper flakes or just omit them. I browned my beef than added about 3 TBSP of the recipe. After about a couple of minutes, I added about 1/2C water and let that simmer down. With store bought taco seasonings, I would have to add Ghost pepper salsa to my tacos but I didn't even use it on these tacos. Thanks for the recipe!

Awesome Baked Sea Scallops

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2014
I've made this recipe many times, and its always delicious. I have used traditional bread crumbs as well as panko. Both are good. I usually serve these over a cauliflower puree along with roasted asparagus.

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2014
This has a great hit of spice to it that I loved. I added a chopped carrot and celery just to give it some crunch. I also ended up letting it simmer for an extra 15 mins bc it was too watery and I like chili to be a bit thicker. I've made this recipe 3x now and its always great!

Indonesian Satay

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
A great recipe! I make this once a week. I don't make the peanut sauce. I'm not a fan of it. It just tastes like peanut butter, and I can't taste any of the other flavours so I don't make it. The marinade for the chicken is amazing! I would give it 5 stars alone! I usually let it marinade for 4 hours but I've even done 24 hrs while taking it camping. I make it as written but I use toasted sesame seed oil instead of peanut oil and I add red chili peppers bc we like a little heat. I bbq the chicken or I'll make it on the stove as a stir fry. I like to serve this on top of sticky rice or along a salad.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2013
This is a fabulous recipe! The first time I made it, I made it for my husband but I ended up eating most of it! This is my go to recipe. Its really good. I usually don't add the walnuts bc my husband hates nuts but I will always add a bit of cinnamon to it and the last time I added an extra banana. Really good stuff!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
Made this tonight and it was amazing! I used chicken breast and thighs from a soup I made the night before and not sure if it was the thighs but every bite of chicken was so tasty. I didn't have celery seed so I used garlic powder and no milk so I used half and half. With the half and half the gravy was nice and thick. I hate it when the gravy is runny. Great recipe!

Sweet and Sour Pork III

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
Made this tonight and it was really good. I wish it had more of the red color you get when you order take-out. Maybe add more ketchup? I also didn't have alot of oil for frying so I basically pan fried it in 2 batches and it turned out great! Next time I will try this with chicken.

Beef Bulgogi

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
This is really good! I've made it with flank steak and chicken and both are great. I leave the sesame seeds out since my husband doesn't like it and I add red hot chilli flakes to spice it up. I have added grated ginger to the chicken and its a nice addition. I serve this over sticky rice, which is just sweet rice cooked in my rice cooker. Soo good! I actually think this recipe tastes better with the sticky rice.

Italian Peas

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2012
This was just ok. A lot better than plain peas but from the reviews I read, I expected more. I made the recipe to a T but I thought it could use more flavour so I added a bit of butter and dill. This made it much better.

Farmer's Market Vegetarian Quesadillas

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2012
Just made this and it tasted great! I had to make a couple of changes bc I didn't have all the ingredients but I think if I made it exactly as written it would still be a 4star recipe bc it lacked seasoning. My veggies: zucchini, red pepper and yellow onion. I doubled the zucchini and seasoned the veggies with garlic powder, pepper and cumin. I also added canned black beans to the veggies. The cumin added a nice kick and I would recommend it.

Quick and Easy Home Fries

Pretty good recipe. It needed something a little more, so I added paprika and onions to it. This made me eat 2 servings! Next time I will cut down on the amount of butter as it was too greasy for me.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2012
This is pretty good. I decided to add the cool water slowly and kept tasting it as I added it bc I thought the 6 cups would make it too watered down. I ended up stopping at 3Cs and it was great! I made this using Green tea and it was very tasty :)

Pretty good recipe. I halved it and added mushrooms, red onion instead of white, fresh basil instead of dried, used mozzarella instead of cheddar and I cut out the bread crumbs.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: May 30, 2012
My husband loves this when I make this. The first time I made it, I followed the recipe to a T and found it to be too watery. The last two times I've made it, I only put a few tablespoons of water and it was perfect. I also mixed the sugar and cinnamon with the sliced apples and I added a touch of vanilla to it. Perfecto! Thanks for this recipe :)

Banana Crumb Muffins

I didn't make the crumb topping and this was still soo yummy! I love this recipe! It smelled so good while it was baking, it was hard not to eat one right out of the oven! In 3 of the muffins, I added strawberry slices in the batter, and they were amazing. So good! Thanks for the recipe!

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
Just made this for dinner and it was just ok. I wish it had more of a tomato flavour. Also, I think there was too much dried basil. I wish I had made it with fresh instead. My husband thought it was just ok too. I think with tweaking and fresh basil, this would be much better.
