Ground Beef Wellington

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
These were good. I would like to have a little more flavor and will have to tweak the recipe next time I make them. I also wanted double the sauce, as it ran out so quickly and we didn't have enough. Finally I made smaller loaves and still they weren't all the way done in the middle. The recipe is a great place to start though!

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
I liked this recipe. I only had 1 small box of strawberry Jello and didn't realize I needed the large box. I used a box of pineapple Jello to make up for it and it tasted great! I think next time I will only use 1 pack of cream cheese since that flavor overwhelmed me. Otherwise I will make this again forsure.

Good Flavor. I didn't have time to marinate it. I will definitely do that next time I use this recipe.

Chocolate Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
I loved this. It was just as good to me cold the next day with ice cream...I am not picky. I didn't have the self rising flour so I used 1 C. All Purpose with 1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder and 1/2 tsp. Salt. I also only had 1/2 tsp. of vanilla left, so I used Almond extract for the other 1/2 tsp. That gave it a nice taste.

This is delicious and so easy! What a hit at my party. Everyone wanted the recipe. I used 2 cans of chicken, drained and browned with some margarine, onion powder and black pepper. I will be making this a lot.

Light and Fluffy Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
I hadn't had a quiche in so long! This was a great one. I sauteed my onions and added some chopped deli turkey and cooked until it started to brown. I added this to the egg and cheese mix and used this as a breakfast quiche.

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
These were wonderful! I was in a rush, and was unable to refrigerate for an hour. I seasoned the wings with salt and pepper, then put them into the flour mixture. I baked them for about 30 minutes in a 400 degree oven to crisp them a bit. Then I started to baste the sauce on them and bake for another 20 minutes. Finally broiled for another 30 minutes, and turned every 5-10 minutes, basting until the sauce was gone. Long process but worth the great results!

Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
I love a chewy cookie and this is it! I added 1/2 tsp. of Salt and 1/2 tsp. of vanilla. I don't like the way the shortening has a waxy feel to it, and would prefer butter, but wasn't sure if that would make them crunchy so I stuck with the shortening.

Chicken and Dumplings II

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
I only used the first 12 ingredients of this recipe for making my chicken in the slow cooker. This chicken had great flavor and I will definitely use it again! Then used the recipe for Herbed Dumplings from this site since I didn't have baking mix.

Very Good Dumplings! I cut the salt down to 1/2 tsp. per the reviews and these were great! Perfect compliment to my slow cooker chicken.

Chinese Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
This was good. It is a great starter recipe. I think next time I want something more added to it to make it great. I made it in the slow cooker. There was a little too much pepper for my taste but it wasn't a bad meal over rice.

Chai Tea Mix

This was a good recipe, although I would increase the actual Instant Tea next time just for my own taste. I put it in jars and gave it as gifts for the holidays. It was a big hit.

Spiced Slow Cooker Applesauce

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
This was an ok recipe. It was way too sweet for my taste, but it could be because my apples were small. My daughter loved it and has asked for it again.

Gooey Butter Cake III

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
This is one of my very favorite cakes! I got this recipe in the 80's from a family friend. This never goes to waste. On a recent episode of Paula Deen, she made it and added some chocolate toffee bits to the cream cheese mix before baking...looked yummy! I will give that a try next time.
