Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
I've been using this recipe for ages. It's the easiest way to make a really good homecooked tasting sausage gravy.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
VERY EASY! Next time, I'll use a little less butter because the stuffing breading was kind of soggy. All I had was chicken stove-top so that's what I used. Very good. A little salty though.

Hearty Beans with Beef

YUMMY! It tastes goooooood. The flavor was sweet and hearty (hence the dish's name). Everyone is the house liked it. My boyfriend immediately decided that this was the dish to take to parties. Very good. First dish I've loved from this site without having to alter the recipe.

Sweet Potato-Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
Pretty good. I added brown sugar and cinnamon and halved the ketchup. I used FOUR slices of bread and it was still a lil' mushy for my tastes but the slices we fairly easy to cut. I used a can of candied yams which saved a TON of prep time. I served it with cinnamon apple sauce and almond green beans. The meatloaf was sweet and I look forward to frying it up tomorrow and having it on some wheat toast. All around good recipe. Like the other raters, the quantities of the ingredients need to be adjusted.

Parsley Red Potatoes

A lil too much butter. All I had was regular red potatoes, not the smaller new potatoes. I just quartered mine and cooked them the same way. Everyone in the house dug it!

Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
I thought it was pretty good. I cooked it on high for 5 hours and then on low for 1 hour. I put in 2 cans cream of cheese and 1 can cream of chicken. I put in a little bit of garlic Mrs. Dash and salt and pepper. The chicken was very tender. I poured it over brown rice. The only thing I didn't like was the crusty, nasty ring of burnt cheese left around the edge of the crock pot. Maybe I should have used more non-stick cooking oil or something...

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
Really good.. but it needs more banana. Next time, I'm going to put it an extra banana. The topping kind of just melted right off of the top. I'll use a little less butter next time. Still fantastic and super easy!

Zesty Chicken Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
A little dry. I'd add another egg to help keep it moist. We're not onion fans, so I just added a little dehydrated minced onion and it was fine. If you're going to do that though, you should most definetely add some other type of seasoning. If not, it's kind of bland. This recipe is an awesome base for adding your own seasonings. I'll defintely make it again!
