I love to cook and spend time with my family.I have 3 boys, 19,and 2 18 and a girl who is 15. The two oldest boys are in the navy, the youngest is thinking about what he wants to do next. My girl is a sophmore in highschool. My dogs tater tot and liberty gumdrop.
My favorite things to cook
Ilove to cook anything I can get my hands on, from old family favorites, to something new and exciting! I love, love, love Mexican, Greek and Middle Eastern food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well I would have to say it is Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Birthdays and any speacial occasion to cook! When I was growing up, speacial occasions were when everyone would cook and laugh, so our tradition wouldprobably have to be laughter, love and lots of memories

My cooking tragedies
Hhahahaha this is TOO funny! my sister was relocating for her job and they had put her in a hotel for a week. So I decided to make thngs she could keep in an ice chest and the fridge in the room to save moneysince she had her wholefamily with her.I was makeing box chicken in the oven for her and the grease somehow cought the oven on fire! Next thing I know is there are flames shooting out and im calling 911 with the oven door open! The operator tells me to shut the door, lol and the next thing I know there was the fire dept. and thelocal news crew at our door because they heard there was a house fire!

Southwestern Caesar Salad
OMG!!!! this is fantastic! I omitted the anchovies. If you like it hot, leave the seeds in the chipotle when doing the dressing, if you like it more mild, cut pepper in half and run your knife along the inside and scrape away the seeds. You will still get a good smokey flovor without all of the heat. Also I added black beans and corn and instead of croutons I had added crushed blue corn tortillas instead. In the dressing I added some cumin and a pinch of salt. Since I added parm cheese in the dressing I had crumbled some mexican cotija on the salad instead and garnished with avacado slices. What a quick and easy meal. Tastes like alot of work went into it, we loved it!

Garlic Creamed Chicken
This is soooo wonderful! The next day it tastes great over a toasted english muffin with a light ceaser salad for lunch!
