I was born and raised in Fairbanks Alaska, moved on after high school and settled in San Diego California. I have from my earliest years been involved with cooking in one way or another. I have just entered my 30th year of being a foodie(from 15 years old!). I can find no better way to express emotions better than with food.

My favorite family cooking traditions
Spending time with my Grandmother growing up cooking, canning and baking. Not to mention hunting as we did in Alaska. And all the fun that comes with hunting, butchering, smoking meats, making ground beef and sausage from Bear, Moose and Reindeer. Smoking Salmon in the summers.
