About this Cook
I am a Mom of 6 little girls, ages ranging from 15 to 2, and they all have something. If you consider my husband a child that makes 7; they eat what the others love. But I still love him dearly. In 2007 he was sent to Iraq, which sucked on so many levels. I couldn't really cook; he is the cook. We used to have wonderful dinner partys. I had to learn quickly. My poor little girls,at the time just 3 little girls, became my guinee pigs, along with some of my friends. Luckily it wasn't so bad. Now I take joy in cooking for them. My husband is constantly telling me how much he loves my cooking and baking. I so love to cook and bake now. Its at the top of my hobbies. This site has also made it easy to branch out and change recipes that I already love into something of my own.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake bread and bake all kinds of sweets
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making ginger bread houses with the whole family.
My cooking triumphs
I can make Flan. Growing up, I watch my mother in horror make it. Not so fond memorys of it. Don't realy know what she did wrong. I just remeber it being an all day event and half the time coming out right.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds with Sugar and Spice
Man These came out great. Just wished that the Pumpkin seeds were bigger. Next I will let the seeds sit a little longer in the liquid befor baking, but still great stuff.

Pumpkin Fudge
Amazing!!! The only thing different that I would do next time is kinda double the recipe. By this I mean I would use a 12oz can of evaporated milk, 15 oz can pumkin, and 18oz jar of Fluff. Only because I was left with you cans of stuff that I really couldn't use for anything else, but I was willing to do that to try this recipe. YUM!
