Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
It's hard to rate this recipe because I didn't exactly follow it, but it was definitely the basis for what I did so I gave it five stars. I took the advice of JUSTJEN33 and did it in the oven. I browned my butterfly chops, added garlic to my mushroom and onion saute and deglazed my pan with Chardonnay. I used milk when I mixed in the soup. It was terrific with the brown rice.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
This was so easy and my family loved it! It was especially easy since I used Pillsbury pie crusts and a store-made rotisserie chicken. I boiled the veggies in chicken broth and I added some fresh garlic to my gravy. I'm not usually a pot pie person, but I thoroughly enjoyed this too. It definitely a keeper!

Ghirardelli Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
It was wonderful! My hubby who is a mousse-snob wanted to eat it all. My picky daughters enjoyed it too, which is surprising. Of course, I made him share. It was easy to make as well. I will definitely make this for my family again.

Colonial Brown Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
What a wonderful, easy bread! My whole family loved it and they don't usually like wheat breads! I did the recipe as is except I never buy buttermilk; I do the lemon juice with milk substitution. I will DEFINITELY make this bread again. Thanks ANNETTE1951 for a terrific recipe!

Stewed Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
It was good, quick and easy. I added some cooked chicken to it just before serving to make it a meal. I think it can make a good side dish or meal (w/ meat) when you need something quick. It was encouraging that at least one of my picky eaters (age 2 and 5)ate every bite!

Slow Cooker Lentils and Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
Wonderful! An awesome winter meal! I took other's advice and added the tomatoes at the end; it worked great. The only thing I did different was add an onion because my hubby and I love onions. It was so easy too; no precooking anything! I will definitely make this again and again.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
Wow! These are terrific! I had no problem with them because I froze the balls before dredging them (using a fork) in the chocolate. These go quick so make a lot!

Steakhouse Wheat Bread for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
I doubled the recipe and set my Sunbeam bread maker on 2lb loaf; it worked great. It was not exactly like Outback's bread, but it was close. Me and my family enjoyed it and I'll make it again.

Bread Machine Pumpernickel Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
We all thought that this was a wonderful bread. I didn't use the caraway seed or the vital wheat gluten.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Wonderful! The drippings made excellent gravy as well. I melted a 1/2 stick of butter in a skillet, whisked in 1/4 cup flour, gently poured two cups of dripping into the skillet while stirring. Cooked until thickened and bubbly then cooked 1 minute more. Yum!

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
Absolutely wonderful! I did the orange glazed that was suggested and I think that did make another layer of flavor to the sweet tart flavor. What a great use for cranberries!

Roasted Pecan Banana Bread Loaves

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
I made this exactly as stated and it was terrific. It was so moist. I did make it as a large loaf instead of the mini loaves and I had to cover it to keep from browning too much while it finished baking.

These were very good. I think I need more practice making them because I think I didn't cooked them long enough; they needed to be browner. A true test is that my picky 5yr old ate them!

Pumpkin Butter

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
It was a very easy pumpkin butter (after the pumpkin was cut up) recipe, but the spices were too much. It's almost bitter and I think that it's because of the clove. When I try this again, I will cut down on the spices. Also, it would be nice to know WHAT exactly is a serving.

Apple Oatmeal Cookies II

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
The dough is yummy, but once you bake it it's not as yummy. They spread out too much and don't rise. They looki like they should be crisp, but they're chewy. I'm very disappointed by this recipe.
