Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
I am currently eating a bowl of this soup and it is amazing! I will admit, I did add a medium diced apple in the saute process to boost the squash's sweetness, and I took a reviewers advice on adding a pinch of curry powder. I garnished my bowl with a dollop of sour cream as a contrast and yummm! Thank you so much for this recipe, I will deffinitely make it over and over again!

Quiche Lorraine I

Very very very yummy! I try to make the crust homemade if possible (though time consuming and labour intensive) but this was excellent!

Caribbean-Spiced Pork Side Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
This is the first time i've tried a rub mixture on ribs and I hate to say I didn't enjoy it very much. I would have liked a little more sweetness to it!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
These were very good. I made them for my son's classroom and they were a hit with the kids! I also used margarine instead of butter and found the texture was perfect! I had no issue with the batter at all!

Herbed Cornish Hens

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
I made these for an anniversary dinner and all I have to say is wow! They were tender and moist and the sauce was perfect! I admit I too used fresh herbs as opposed to dried and cut back a tad on the lemon, but only because of who I was cooking them for. This was the perfect dinner to celebrate. Thanks so much!

Eggs Benedict

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
It could have been me...but I found the hollandaise sauce to be too tart. All I tasted was lemon, not the silky, buttery flavor I was expecting. I will definitely use less next time I try this recipe. Overall it was yummy, how can you go wrong with egss benedict for brekkie?!

Tres Leches Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
WOW! This was sooo delicious! I was a bit wary about the idea of a soggy cake, but it was anything BUT soggy! I used this recipe for my daughter's 7th b-day party (she requested a mecican fiesta), so I figured this would be a nice alternative to a regular cake, and it did not dissappoint. Everyone at her party had seconds, which didn't leave us any left-overs. The only thing I changed was fresh strawberries instead of maraschino cherries since they were in season! Thank you so much for this!

Five Flavor Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
I made this cake for a friend's birthday party and it was a hit! It was super moist and full of flavour, I had to change a couple of things due to what I had on hand in my pantry. I used some lime zest and juice as well as an ounce of real rum instead of the extract for the glaze, and since I had run out of milk I used coconut milk and omitted the coconut extract...Thank you, I will definitely make this again!
