Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2012
I just made these. However, I also needed to change the recipe. I used panko crumbs as well. I also added salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic power, dried mustard and I probably increased the Old Bay by at least 2-1/2 times. I also didn't use the flour, and I opted to bake at 400 w/ a little olive oil. I'm giving it a 3/5 because without the extra ingredients I think it would be on the bland side. My mother really enjoyed my version and I will be making her more to store in the freezer.

Spicy Refrigerator Dill Pickles

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2012
Not a big fan of this recipe, I'll try others. Firstly, as others suggested I cut the sugar to about 1 oz per batch (I don't like sweet pickles either). I also didn't add as much dill, I felt it would be too much. A handful of days later I tasted one and I found it to have too strong of a vinegar taste. I added more water to the jars hoping to cut the vinegar taste. We'll see what happens.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: May 13, 2011
This recipe is ok, I've used it maybe 6-7 times now. I did notice that 1 cup of water was not enough. As it was mixing in the kitchenaid it was still really dry, and I had to add in an extra 1/4-1/3 cup. I also used olive oil instead of veg. oil. I added some Italian herbs, some garlic salt, as well as some hot garlic powder (garlic w/ cayenne). Each time I made this the crust turned out pretty dense, which some people may like. I also let it cook for 10 mins or so prior to adding the sauce and toppings.
