About this Cook
I'm in highschool right now but I love to cook! Mostly its sweet things, but I want to start trying other recipes, aswell. I have two lovely golden retrievers and I live with my parents and older brother who's off to college soon. I go camping, scrapbook, run cross country, study and study some more. - I love math and science!
My favorite things to cook
Sweet things, Italian food, and curries. New things and old family recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family likes to make traditional English food and Indian and Thai curries. I learn how to cook from my mum and how to bake from my dad.
My cooking triumphs
I once made my mum's chicken pasta and it was terrific. I haven't burnt a batch of cookies since I was ten ;) and I'm getting used to "baking on call" at eight o'clock at night when my family realises they've got nothing good for dessert!
My cooking tragedies
Ummm... there's been alot! See my review for the fabulous fudge cake, that was my worst, and most recent!

Scottish Shortbread IV
Good recipe! Lovely, except, you do not dip scottish shortbread in chocolate!!!!!!!!! I would know, I'm from scottland, and good shortbread shouldn't need that. Trust me, just dust with sugar and stick to the recipe.

Fabulous Fudge Chocolate Cake
What a shame! The batter was DELICIOUS! :) Then I cooked it... I feel bad rating this so low because it must have been a mistake on my part. Perhaps I put it too high in the oven... Anyway, The outside and top went rock hard and the middle stayed completely mushy! I just couldn't eat it, my dad good-naturedly gulped down his portion but it was pretty gross. No offense to the origional author, though...

Chocolate Frosting III
This was waaayyyy too sickeningly sweet. I normally have the sweetest tooth in the family but even this was too much for me! The recipe came out too liquidy, aswell. The picture looked promising but I'll stick to my dad's frosting recipe next time!
