Roquefort Dressing II

This was awesome. I love Roquefort and needed a dip to replace the nasty stuff that came with a big vegetable platter. Have been using it on sandwiches and salads since.

Strawberry Jam

It's strawberry jam. My only issue was the sweetness. I only did 3 cups of sugar, and it was still very sweet. It's good to me, but if I had done 4 cups as the recipe states, it might have been too sweet.

Spinach Basil Pesto

Really tasty. I had no nuts of any kind, so I toasted some fennel seeds (1 tbs) and added them. I know that has no connection taste-wise, but i figured it needed a little crunchy texture. It was really delicious on some angel hair pasta. I'll try it again with some pinenuts sometime soon.

Irish Lamb Stew

Very tasty. I halved the recipe and used Guinness as well and then tossed everything in a crock pot for 6 hours. The first 3 hours on high and then switched it to low. Also added a few stalks of celery chopped up, and maple syrup instead of sugar, just for fun. It was very tasty with the irish soda bread to clean the bowl.

Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus

Tasty. I had a couple of pieces of bacon left over and then used the drippings by brushing them over the exposed asparagus. Then grilled them. Did 6 asparagus per bacon strip. Very tasty.
