The Kids
Sunday morning the lake had an eerie look.
Woke up this Sunday and the lake looked eerie.
What the cabin looks like now. Oh look Peppe is in the pic.
About this Cook
Married mother of 4, ages 14 to 21, but sane none-the-less.
My favorite things to cook
I'm addicted to entertaining, I love throwing big family parties. I've cooked for up to 30 people and I'm jealous of letting anyone else bring anything.
My cooking triumphs
Basic Light Cheesecake recipe that easily adapts to many flavors. Cioppino with Rice Balls.
My cooking tragedies
I rarely write down a recipe and have lost many dishes to memory lapses, efforts to repeat have never poisoned but also never sated.

Grandmother's Oatmeal Cookies
Awesome cookies. I was looking for a recipe that only called for 2 cups oats and picked this one. I left out the raisins because my boys don't like them. I added the eggs into the creamed butter and sugar then followed the recipe. I added 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips. Super super yummy. Thanks for a keeper.

Sirloin Tips and Mushrooms
I made this for dinner with a couple of minor changes... I used fresh mushrooms that I pre-browned... I 2 tbsp tomato for the tomato sauce and added the paste before the other ingredients after the meat had browned... I also added onion and bay leaf.. This was super good yes I made changes but the basic concept is solid and delicious. I can imagine that it would be 5 star even without my changes.. Thanks GRANNYA for a keeper

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini
Yum I made a few changes.. I bought butternut and sage tortellini, I used chicken broth...and I used white wine.. So YUM YUM... Next time I'm going with cheese tortillini and beef broth.. Maybe *** update.. made this again with the beef broth, red wine and cheese tortillini. Just as good as the last time. Thanks again for the recipe.
