Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

My husband and I loved this. Based on other reviews, here are the tweaks I made. Used butter instead of margarine, only half of the dry Italian mix, and only half of the cream cheese. I added some pepper, lemon pepper, parsley, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to make up for not using all of the dry Italian mix. Some othe other reviews said that it was too salty so that is why I didn't use it all. I added some sauteed onions at the end just to kick it up a notch! I tossed the egg noodles in the crock pot (about 2/3 of a bag) when it was ready to serve. For step one, I melted the butter and combined the Italian mix before putting the chicken in. For step two, I cooked it for about an hour. We will definitely make this again. My husband and I both rated this about 8 out of 10 which is very high on our scale!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

I was generous with my rating because I halved the recipe for a smaller roast so that may have affected the way it turned out. My husband and I were not crazy about the way the cream of mushroom-onion soup mix tasted. I guess other people like it, but it just wasn't that good. I seared the roast like others suggested, but we were disappointed with the taste of the sauce. Too bland. I tried to spice it up after I tasted the sauce, but it was just too far gone. This recipe was okay, but I won't make it again. I am going to try to find one with some red wine, maybe some beef broth, and some more flavor added. And with searing in the directions at least!

Black Bean, Corn and Turkey Chili

I'm making this recipe again today because it is sooo good. Here are my tweaks: I don't use any chili powder because I am a spice wimp and I use chicken stock instead of chicken broth to provide a more full flavor. I would suggest measuring out all your spices, cutting up your onion, and opening/draining the cans of beans and corn before you start cooking. It just makes it easier.
