House Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2004
This was delicious! My husband asked me where I got it from. Fried rice is the only kind he will eat and he liked this. I used Uncle Ben's converted rice made in the microwave according to package directions. I used peanut oil but next time I will try the sesame. It came out perfect.

This was delicous! I took another reviewer's suggestion and mixed milk with lemon juice instead of buttermilk and used splenda instead of sugar and this came out great!

This recipe was excellent! I only made 1 lb. and cooked them on top of the stove in a large fry pan for about 5 minutes. My husband could not stop eating them. DELICIOUS!

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

This was easy and delicious! It was a great way to use up a ham bone and leftover ham. I added more water than the recipe called for. I will be making this again for sure.

Ham and Cheese Quiche

Delicious! I doubled the swiss cheese, used 1 pkg. of frozen spinach thawed and drained and fresh mushrooms sauteed in butter. I also used leftover ham, chopped and mozzarella cheese on top. The crust was brown and it came out perfect! We all loved it! Can't wait to make again.

Cream of Broccoli Soup V

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2004
This soup was delicious! I used frozen broccoli florets which made it a lot quicker to make. I used 2 cups of heavy cream because I didn't have any milk. Next time I will use a little bit more flour for thickening. This came out great and everyone liked it.

Spinach Dip

This is delicious dip. It is so much better than recipes with the Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix because the ingredients are all fresh. This is a great way to eat spinach and so healthy!

Hummus III

This was really good. I've made it several times. Last time I really impressed my in-laws with this recipe. My Father-in-law said that it was better than my Mother-in-law's recipe. I added more garlic and more lemon juice. We liked the fact that this recipe called for very little olive oil, we are all trying to cut down on the fat! My Mother-in-law asked me for the recipe. I will make this over and over again.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2004
These were delicious. I made these for New Year's Eve along with the Buffalo Chicken Wings recipe from this site. My husband liked these and he doesn't usually like battered chicken wings. I skipped the 60 to 90 min. refrigeration. They still came out delicious. Next time I might try it to see what the difference is. I will make these again. Great recipe!

Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2004
D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! I made a 10 lb bag for New Year's Eve and they came out perfect - crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. After frying the wings I put them in the saucepan with the hot sauce mixture and put the cover on the pan and shook them up and they covered perfectly. I used to just fry them until done but after frying then baking them in the oven with the sauce they came out sooooooo crispy, that is the secret. My husband grew up in Buffalo, N.Y. and he said these were really good wings! We like more sauce, (I used Frank's hot sauce). I used store bought dressing but next time I will try the home made recipe. These were easy and I will make them again. Thank you William for a great wing recipe!

Raspberry Sauce

This sauce was easy and delicious! I used Chambord for the raspberry flavored liquer and didn't strain it and it still came out great. I poured it over Chantal's New York Cheesecake and I impressed the in-laws with this and everyone at work loved it!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2002
This was great tasting cheesecake! I topped it with the raspberry sauce recipe from this site and it was delicious, everyone loved it! The cheesecake batter was way too much for a 9 inch springform pan, I had enough batter to fill a 9 inch pie plate also. Mine cracked but I just filled the crack up with raspberry sauce and nobody knew the difference.

Fried Rice I

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2002
This was good tasting but the rice came out mushy. 1 2/3 cup of water was not enough to cook the rice in, even when covered the water all boiled away before the rice was cooked and I had to add more water. I might try this again but using a precooked rice like Uncle Ben's or something.

Best Egg Rolls

These were really quick and easy to make. They tasted a bit bland so next time I will add some minced garlic and onions and some soysauce to the meat mixture to jazz it up a bit. They were good though with spicy mustard.

Fettuccini Alfredo I

This was easy and delicious! I used soy milk because that is all I had and it turned out great! I thought it might be too spicy with the hot sauce added but it wasn't, couldn't even taste it. Next time I will add more. I added ground black pepper, salt and shrimp.

Chewy Granola Bars

These were delicious!!! I didn't add the brown sugar or the chocolate chips to make them healthier and they came out great. The honey made them sweet enough without the extra sugar added.
