Sausage Mushroom Manicotti

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I followed the recipe, with the exception of the canned mushrooms. I used fresh button mushrooms, sliced and sauteed them in butter. The flavors were great. Next time, I think I will omit the sausage and add more mushrooms, seeing as that's what I loved most about it.

Cheese and Sausage Stuffed Zucchini

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
This is a good recipe with lots of room to customize it. The zucchini at my local store are small so I buy several. I have found that these taste really well as leftovers. I used sausage the first time, however I prefer it without.

Irish Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I made this cake for my sister's birthday. I have mixed reviews, I found the cake a bit dry. My family loved it however. The thing we all agreed on was the great flavor of the glaze.

Cheesy Baked Cauliflower

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I LOVE this recipe. I will never eat plain steamed cauliflower again. I did make some changes according to others' reviews. I cut the florets pretty small, and only steamed them for appx 10 min. I mixed a heaping T of mayo and mustard, added 1/2 cup of parm. cheese and mixed it well, then dumped the steamed cauliflower on top of it, mixed it all up -spread it out in a dish and baked for 30 min. I also completely omitted the butter. I will make this again, often.

Cran-Apple-Pear Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
I have made this dish three times now. Thanksgiving, a work potluck, and Christmas Eve. It is a hit every time. Everyone asks for the recipe! It couldn't be any easier to make either. The only change I make is that I dice up the pears and apples to be bite size.

Rickyrootbeer

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
We made several of these drinks on Christmas Eve. It's one of my new favorites. I agree with the review to keep paper towels handy for the overflow. Another thing I'd suggest is making sure the rootbeer is cold.

Chocolate Cherry Cake with Rum Ganache

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
I made this cake to take to a Christmas Eve party. Everyone loved it! The cake itself is super moist and flavorful. I only gave it four stars because I felt that the ganache was a little heavy, and if you're not careful it will pool around the bottom of the cake. But overall it is a crowd pleaser.
