Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2012
I just made this dish for dinner tonight. I added mushrooms, onions, and topped with fresh shaved parmesean cheese. I also added some thyme and red pepper flakes. My husband thought it was great, but I have to say thought it was kinda bland. Not sure if I'll make it again....unless my husband specifically requests it :)

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
I'm giving this recipes 5 stars..because it is great! Not quite as good as my Mom's, but what ever is? This was the first time I have ever made potato soup myself and I was impressed. I used bacon, Lactaid whole milk ( I am lactose intolerant..you couldn't even taste the difference), added shredded carrots, a bit of half and half ( will pay, but it was worth it), as well as mashing up some of the potatoes per other reviewers recommendations. Seriously you will love this soup! Great flavor and pretty easy. Thanks for the recipe. I will definitely make again.

Spicy Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
I recently tried this recipe, since I've been trying to find alternatives to red meat. Everyone LOVED it! I enjoyed it, but would definitely add more spices next time to spice it up even more. Maybe red pepper or red pepper flakes. Also- it was kinda gooey and messy compared to hamburger when I was making the patties. I added some seasoned croutons that I crushed up, which seemed to help. *I did learn that not all ground turkey is healthy, as in low fat. Even the packages that appeared to be a leaner type were super high in fat. Once I paid attention to the different types I found one that was significantly lower in fat..like 3.5 grams a serving. Anyway, good recipe..Thanks! I will make again!

Sharese's Spaghetti Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
This was pretty good. I think, like other reviewers have stated, I would make it with a different pasta type next time. I really did enjoy the bacon...I added extra too. I wouldn't have thought to put that in a pasta salad...good addition. ,

Creamy Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
This was an easy and tasty dinner. I did cut the chicken breasts up into "tender" size pieces, in an attempt to speed up cooking time. I added poultry and seasoning salt too, because they tasted a little bland. I used cream of mushroom instead of cream of chicken, cause that's what I had. I also added a vegetable medley to the cream of mushroom soup as well as some sour cream and chicken broth, per other suggestions. I served it over rice with a salad. My fiance and I both thought it was really good on a chilly night. I will make again.

Uncooked Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Oh my Gosh!!! This recipe is soooo good! The first time I made this my friend and I ate the whole bowl in one night. Seriously, it is incredibly easy and the result is delicious. I'm made it again for a friends birthday which is tomorrow, but I did lick the mixing bowl clean tonight. I used skim milk both times, but I've used light and regular sour cream and I can't tell the differance. Try this recipe---you WILL love it!

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2008
I was really looking forward to making this recipe, but was disappointed. I didn't feel like it had any flavor, even though I added additional seasonings. It was easy, but I won't make again. Thanks anyway!

Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
I was really excited to make these pork chops, but was disapointed. My fiance and Mother thought they were very good, though. I didn't think they had much flavor at all. I do have to admit, they were very moist. Maybe I'll try again and let them marinade overnight.

Roasted Beets with Feta

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
YUM!! I've always considered myself a fan of beets, but to be honest, I'd only had them pickeled. My friend brought me some fresh beets, so I decided to try my hand at cooking them. This recipe is so easy and delicious! I actually roasted the beets two days prior to preparing this recipe. I had peeled, sliced, and refrigerated them. I mixed the vinegar mixture together, while microwaving the beets to reheat them. The flavor from the vinegars in combination with the feta is great. I too used apple cider in combination with the red wine vinegar, since I didn't have any balsamic. I really enjoyed this "salad" and look forward to making it again.

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
This recipe was fantastic!! I loved the spread made of mayo, garlic, and lemon juice. It really made the sandwich. I've actually used this as an accompanyment for other dishes, including grilled halibut Instead of the foccacia bread I used flat bread rolls, which worked great. I will definately make this again!
