Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
This is a really yummy recipe. I always make it exactly per the directions, except I add some fresh minced garlic to the beef mixture. This one goes over well at my house!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
A staple in our home! I marinate the chicken breasts for at least 2 hours in fat free Italian dressing first. FRESH garlic is key. It makes all the difference.

Apple Butter Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
This was really yummy. Here's how I changed it. I marinated it in apple juice and cinnamon with whole cloves stuck in the pork overnight. In the morning I removed the cloves and put it in my crockpot. I added the rest of the ingredients and slathered the apple butter mixture on top. I cooked it on low for about 8 hours (just because that's when I got home - it would be done at 7). It was so tender and so flavorful! Everyone loved it! I served this with garlic mashed potatoes and candied carrots. YUM!

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2005
These are really yummy. I needed a really quick and easy recipe to take something to a pot-luck type thing and these were perfect. I DID NOT have lemon extract, so I used 2 tsp. of fresh lime juice. The cookies have a great "citrus" summer taste! I rolled them into balls and then rolled them into powdered sugar. I tapped them slightly to get the extra sugar off of them and they were fine. I did adjust the temperature to 350 degrees like others suggested, however it took them 10 minutes on 350 for my oven to get them done.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2003
This was very good! I did not have two cans of cream of anything (can you imagine?!), so I added one can of french onion soup and that was EXCELLENT. This was an incredibly tasty roast and my house smelled YUM! I used wine and beef boullion instead of the water. YUM!

Baked Potato Salad I

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2003
This was really very good, but not a salad at all. This is better described as a cheesy potato side dish. It was yummy though!!!

Sweet and Sour Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2003
This was a great change! I like a really sweet meatloaf and I dip mine in to ketchup, but my kids don't like the ketchup part. This was a great compromise!!!! My daughter kept saying it was the yummiest. Great recipe!

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2003
Really yummy! I tweaked it a bit, however, mostly following suggestions from other viewers. I did the following: Added an envelope of taco seasoning to the meat mixture (no water though), omitted the green chilis and black olives, added a small can of corn, spread the beans on the tortillas and used corn instead of flour tortillas. The recipe is VERY hearty and extremely yummy. It was a hit at my house!

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2003
YUM! Okay, so I totally went against tradition and did not read the reviews until AFTER I went to the store. I knew from reading the reviews that I would need to double the sauce recipe, but I didn't have an extra Italian dressing or another can of soup. Here's what I did. I marinated the chicken breasts in fat free Italian dressing. Then I doubled the butter and wine, used 8 oz of fat free cream cheese, added the 1 Italian seasoning packet and the can of soup and 1 envelope of Lipton's Garlic Mushroom. WE ATE IT ALL! YUMMY! Thanks for a great recipe!

Cream Cheese Pickles

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
These are yummy, but I would definitely spread the cream cheese on the meat and not the pickle. Also, put a layer of cream cheese on each layer of meat. It makes a difference! The taste combination is great!

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
Take my word for it (not that you know me, but trust me!!!!) the red seedless grapes make ALL the difference in the world! I loved this salad with raisins, but it is SO MUCH BETTER with grapes! I took it to our family Easter gathering and everyone RAVED! Next time I am going to try the lowfat version with fat free mayo and turkey bacon. VERY GOOD!

Mexican Cream Cheese Rollups

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2003
These are really very good, although the only reason I guess they are called "Mexican" roll-ups is because you can dip them in salsa. I made these for a New Year's Eve party and added some chopped ham. They were a hit, although no one dipped them in the salsa!
