Super Easy Salmon Cakes

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2013
I only gave a four instead of five because this is an easy recipe and not a complicated one to evaluate ingredients, time, flavor, etc. It is simple, quick, healthy for your heart. I added a bit of lemon juice because i'm not a fan of fish unless it is mild...and lemon makes fish sparkle in flavor. Thank you for posting this. I also love the quickness of it, as i have developed a problem with my muscles and lower back, so time saved in the kitchen is less pain for me! :) I will put it into our family recipe file :)

very easy, airy, and tasty. I'll add this one to the recipe box. TY for sharing your recipe. One of the best so far, i only give four stars if i'm *wowed*, otherwise these are yum.

good, simple recipe and a nice change from all of the recipes i try that require yogurt, etc, which i never have on hand when its time to make cakes. strange for a vegetarian to say that i know. thank you for a good reliable and tasty recipe.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
Well i learned my lesson about reading how much a recipe makes, lol. I was making pancakes for an hour. But we froze all of the ones that we didn't eat, just rolled them and wrapped them in plastic wrap, can be microwaved easily at work with some sugar and lemon or for a great pre-made brekkie. This recipe is very good. I would have given it five stars, but i followed another foodies advice and used plain yogurt so i don't really know how these are with buttermilk. Worth making! Thankies for the recipe.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
I couldn't upload a photo, because there are only three crumbs left. It came out as beautiful as the photo shown though, and the taste.. perfection! I like my cornbread more on the cakey* side and not very gritty, so I used fine cornmeal, and i didn't have buttermilk, only light milk, so i gave it a shot of lemon juice before i began and followed the recipe to a *T*. Well, I accidentally put in a tsp. b. soda, but it didn't hurt the recipe at all. We had it with chili tonight, but i buttered and honeyed a small square for desert, heh. Truly, I have made a lot of cornbread but this is the best. Thank goodness for your granny! Thanks for the recipe, its going into the family file. (trust me, not many make it in there). ~~bc
