Heavenly White Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
The first time I made this cake it was dry but it had a very nice flavor. I made the adjustment of an extra 1/2 cup of milk and it came out EXCELLENT. This cake is sooooo good and super moist. I also folded the egg whites in the batter instead of beating them in.

Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2012
This cake is excellent! I tried another white cake recipe and there is no comparison. I made a few adjustments in advance after reading the other reviews. 2 1/4 c cake flour, 3/4 c butter, 1/4 c crisco, 1tsp vanilla, 1tsp almond, 1/2tsp lemon, 3/4 salt. I beat the egg whites and folded them in at the very end of mixing. I also used room temp ingredients.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
This is a really good peanut butter frosting. It came out perfect the first time I made it. I did not have to add more milk. It's the right consistency for piping and decorating.

Absolute Best Liver and Onions

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
Soaking the liver in milk is something I never thought about. I have a technique i use to make my liver tender and it is to prepare your liver for frying but DO NOT preheat your skillet.Put your liver in a cold skillet for 2-4 minutes then turn the stove on and cook as usual.I used both of these techniques together and my liver was soooooo delicious.I soaked my liver about 15 minutes.

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
This was my very first time working with fondant and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. This recipe was a little too greasy so the next time I try it I will use a little less shortening. I didn't have clear vanilla so I used lemon and I didn't like the flavor much. Ok I tried it again and I will not try it a third time. It's too difficult to work with and I still don't like the taste even after using the required ingredients. I'm going to try the marshmallow recipe.

Miss Betty's Super Quick Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
These weren't the best rolls I ever had and i'm a bread girl. Because I was having friends over and forgot to pick up some rolls I tried this quick recipe and they were indeed quick and easy. The taste equaled the effort. I poured melted butter and honey on top before removing from muffin pan.
