I am a mother of a beautiful 19 year old girl. I am recently engaged to a wonderful man. I love to cook when I have time, but I am a full time college student at the time, getting my business degree in office administration. I also love to garden...nothing tastes better than food grown yourself and picked fresh. Besides, I know it's safe that way- no pesticides, ecoli or semanilla for my family! And it saves alot of money at the grocery store too! I also love to fish. I collect tea pots and absolutly love tea! More than anything, I love my daughter, Fiance, pets and family. Feel free to e-mail me @ firstname.lastname@example.org if you like(Yep, I play bunco too. lol).
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook! Almost anything! I love to cook in the crock pot (it saves so much time), I love to grill(charcoal or open fire- no gas thank you), I love to bake, I love to create my own recipes...And I love to cook in unique ways (like tin can ice cream or baking in a box...the FUN stuff! lol).
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love holidays when my family gets together and shares the cooking responsibilities. We always have alot of fun. I also love to camp with my family when we all sit around a big open campfire and cook our meal on it (nothing tastes better...mmmm!). I also love when I can get my daughter in the kitchen with me- you can learn alot from your kids with a cup of sugar and some chocolate chips! And when my fiance and I cook together- romantic!
My cooking triumphs
I have learned to make pie shells better than my sister and mom! They ask me to make them for them sometimes!I also create my own muffin recipes with much success. Oh, and no one else is allowed to bring the deviled eggs for family get togethers...My family said so!
My cooking tragedies
I make the worlds worst gravy! I will admit it! EVERYONE has tried to teach me the secrete to good gravy, but mine is always terrible! And my gravy dosn't need anything under it either. Unless I run it through the blender (a HUGE no-no from several people who have tried to teach me) it has so many lumps you can't tell the gravy from the buscuit! And it tastes like wet flour! ewwww!!
