Well I suck at picking favorites. Its just something i've never been good at because i usually have a huge list of pretty much everything in my head. I am always open to new ideas so when i find a new recipe i scroll down to the reviews and get some new tips about the new recipe. hehe.
My favorite things to cook
I've been kinda going through this stir-fri stage. its just so easy and fun to cook. Thai rice noodles and pretty much what ever else you want.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chicken and dumplings! LOVE LOVED and LOVING. my mom would make a big pot of it and we would have them that night and as left overs.
My cooking triumphs
I guess it is a good thing when your dad tells you that your apple pie is better than his moms. *whispers to me* telling your grandmother that is most defiantly out of the question
My cooking tragedies
when i was about 9 years old my friend and i decided to make peanut butter cookies. we had made them before and thought we were pros. haha. the recipe called for brown sugar and sugar. Of course when we got to the part where it said add sugars we only put in the brown sugar. we figured that out after the cookies were in the oven for about 5 min. being 9 and stuff we decided to solve the problem of cookies gone bread pudding-ish by taking the cookies out mixing in the sugar and thats when my dad walked in and asked what in the world we were doing. (obviously the dad part was not part of the plan) the cookies weren't finished and a lot of the dough was eaten uncooked. what can i say.

Baked Doughnuts
When I first started making these doughnuts i had the thought in my mind that they were going to be rather flavorless, but i was wrong. I do admit that they seem more like muffins than doughnuts but they have a good mixture of spices. And at the time i didn't have buttermilk so i used 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and then added enough milk to make one cup. that substitute worked out just fine.
