Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2011
Really good! I'm not a fan of tomatoes or black olives so I replaced them with sweet red peppers and peas. The colors worked out great. Will make again for sure.

Grilled Broccoli

Reviewed: May 26, 2011
Yummy. I marinated as instructed but decided to grill my broccoli in a foil packet. Right before I put in i threw some cheese on and mixed up. Grilled over low heat for 15 minutes, flipped then grilled for another 15. Super good!

Italian Rice Balls

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
Very disappointed! I think there is way to much water used to cook the rice. There was NO way I could make balls out of this even after letting it sit in the fridge overnight. I added more cheese and breadcrumbs to try to thicken up. I ended up just baking hoping we could eat as a side. Nope! A waste of ingredients in my opinion.

Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
I left out the onion and mushrooms, used ground turkey and made cream of soup base from this site to replace the cream of mushroom soup. I really like the flavor of thyme so I added more. Turned out really good. Would make again.

Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
These are super easy to make! I make them to take to work for my breakfast. Much better than boxed and cheaper. I melted the butter as another suggested and had no problems with them falling apart. I used one cup of chocolate chips and baked for 18 minutes. Great recipe! UPDATE: To make these healthier I now use whole wheat flour, one stick of butter, 1/2 cup of applesauce, less brown sugar and 1/2 cup of choc chips. Still great with these changes and makes me feel better about eating them!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
Excellent! I followed the recipe exactly and this bread turned out soooo good! I did in my bread machine on the dough cycle then split into two. One half I made the bread with and the other I made cinnamon rolls with. Both came out delicious! Highly recommend this recipe.

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
Holy Cow!! These babies are awesome! I halved the recipe, used skim milk, one whole egg and still the two and a quarter tsp of yeast. Put all in my bread machine then went on to step three. The taste is just great and so easy to make! I used them for grilled burgers and had no problems with them not holding the burger. Just perfect!

I was hoping for more of a lemon flavor but they are good. I used blueberry yogurt and frozen blueberries. Replaced the oil with applesauce. Next time I will add more lemon.

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
I made the dough in my bread machine...came out great! Very easy to work with. However, the taste of the ricotta was a bit strange to me. I'm used to it in lasagna but not in a calzone. I paired with exquisite pizza sauce.

Chicken Wild Rice Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
Good soup. I threw it all in the crock pot and let it cook all day. I wasn't sure about the flour but I put it in anyways and it turned out. Poured the milk in an hour before serving. Used more curry and mustard powder.
