Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
Nothing special about this French Toast, the flour in the batter gives it the fluffiness, lacks flavor.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
My learning to cook daughter made these for dinner recently. They were very simple to make and flavorful. It was suprising that my choosy husband found these appealing.

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
Good recipe!!! I will have to make doughnuts again only had canola oil which I think made the doughnuts dark. I used some of the dough to make cinnamon rolls. I rolled out a rectangle of dough and coated that with some butter and sprinkled with a cinnamon and brown sugar mixture. I rolled the dough tightly and cut it into 8 slices and placed into a well greased pan. I let the rolls rise to double in size before baking. The rolls delicious even after being refrigerated for 2 days before being baked.

Salmon Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
Excellent recipe. To add some color and flavor, I added about a 1/3 cup of chopped peppers and mushrooms and decreased the milk to about 1 cup.

Caramel Frosting I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
I usually try a recipe based on the ratings that it has received. I was truly disappointed with this one. I agree with a previous reviewer in their statement of it being too chalky and hard to spread This could be more on the line of a glaze if not allow to cool to long. Will not try this one again

Delicious!!! My family couldn't stop eating these. I used a yellow cake mix, frosted some with chocolate and white icing left some plain. This recipe will get plenty of use at my house.

Japanese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
These wings are excellent! I made a few modifications for my taste. I use oil to fry the wings and add less vinegar and soy sauce substituting orange juice for a little more flavor. Adding a table spoon of cornstarch helps thicken up the sauce. I spice it up a bit by adding ground ginger and crushed red pepper flakes. They always seem to be the talked about item when taken to events that I now remember to bring along copies of the recipe.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
This cake takes some effort but it is well worth it. I have made it several times and have never been disappointed. I usually cut the sugar down to 3 cups and take 1/4 cup out of this to beat with the egg whites. I add butter nut and vanilla flavoring and a sprinkle of mace for added extra flavor. The recipe calls for a bunt pan, I'm able to make a small loaf cake out of the batter as well. This has become one of my most requested recipes.

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
Easy simple and delicious! This is an awesome recipe, I had no idea it would turn out to be one of "my" listed comfort foods. I changed the recipe slightly by adding 1/2 cream of mushroom soup, along with 1/4 cup cooking sherry. I also sprinkled about a handful of Italian blend cheese over it halfway through baking.
