Crunches

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2011
I prefer them with rice crispy cereal instead of the corn flakes. However, both are very yummy! I set them in the freezer and store them in the fridge....I like to eat them cold rather than room temp.

Ashley's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY! I was looking for a new chocolate chip cookie recipe and this is by far my favorite. I refuse to use shortening in any of my baking and this was one without it. I used Hershey's special dark chips and I made dough balls and froze them. I take out 6 or 8 and make just the amount I need whenever I want them. I bake them straight out of the freeze..no need to defrost! Just add a little extra cooking time. I have a convection oven so I cook them at 350.

Quick Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
My 11yr old liked it so it is a keeper. I put beans & tomatoes and seasoning in small crock pot. I was too lazy to cut up an onion so I just used onion powder. I made 10 minute rice separate and then mixed together. Everyone loved it.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
WOW, So moist! Best I ever had! The only thing I changed is I used 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 coconut oil because our family likes the health benefits of coconut oil. Also, added a little cinnamon in the batter when mixing. Baked in a bundt pan. No need to add any more topping- it was perfect.

Sassy Sausage and Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2010
I made the recipe just instructed but added some corn and sauteed some celery with the onion. It seemed to be lacking something; so I read the reviews and decided to add a little white pepper and some cumin as suggested. It is a 5 star after the cumin was added! Next time I will add an extra can of black beans as well.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2010
10 stars-OMG! I threw away my mom's recipe that I have been using for 25 years and replaced it with this recipe! I only did two changes- added 1t vanilla and used 1/6c butter and 1/6c coconut oil for the 1/3c butter. Coconut oil is just so good for you- I use it like that in every recipe that calls for butter. Everything else was done the same. Can't wait to make them again. These are GREAT!! YUMMY!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
So simple and so yummy. I made this for my 9yr old picky eater son and he loved it! I followed the recipe except that I omitted the bell pepper because no one in the family like them. The first night my son ate on a bun but the second night we just dipped tortilla corn chips into the meat mixture and now is a kid favorite!

Cabbage Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
This was fantastic and so easy! I was looking to use up some veggies left in the fridge. I had 4 red potatoes and 1 zucchini that I tossed in. I also through in a can of mushrooms w/ juice because we love mushrooms. Didn't use the parsley but used oregano instead and two bay leaves. The potatoes cooked down and thickened the broth. YUMMY!

Yam Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
WONDERFUL SOUP! And so easy! The only things I changed was I omitted the onion powder because there was already onion in the recipe. I also used minced garlic instead of the powder as others had suggested. I cooked the rice seperate in chicken broth. Then followed the instuctions for boiling the yams (about 20 min. 40 min. would be too long.) Once yams were tender I added cooked rice. I was afraid that the rice would not get cooked and that is why I did it this way. It looked really good but I decided to use a potato smasher to "messy smash" some of the potatoes and leave some of them not smashed. The result was a thicker soup that was just WONDERFUL. I will make this again and again. Thanks!
