Blueberry Cream Muffins

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
Wow! These are really delish! Moist, flavorful and had trouble NOT eating them myself! Did take a few of the reviews into consideration. I added an extra cup of blueberries and they were frozen; worked out just fine. Extra half cup of sugar and did half brown and half white and 1 heaping tsp of Cinnamon. I also added the crumble topping from the "To die for Blueberry Muffins" recipe. One of the reviewers, chefjoy, gives an easy crumble that is sweet and crunchy. Really compliments the muffin. So that you don't have to go looking here it is: 2/3 C brown sugar, 1/4 C Flour, 1/4 Tsp cinn, 2 TBS butter. LOVED THEM. Thanks.

Home run! This was awesome! I can get chicken to fall of the bone, no problem. But it is never moist. This was moist and delicious! The sauce was phenomenal! Sunday night dinner was a huge success! Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: May 1, 2013
My husband requested lemon meringue pie for his birthday today. I was a little nervous. Every time I have ever made lemon meringue it has had the juice at the bottom or something has gone wrong with the meringue. NOT TODAY! The lemon filling was incredible. Perfect balance. I made sure the filling was hot off the stove when I topped it with the meringue. I did use the "meringue II" from this site just because I have had problems with meringue and wanted stability. HIghly recommended and very easy to make. Needless to say, today was a huge success! Thanks for the recipe. It is going on a 3 X 5 today!

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
This is the bomb! This is my new go to recipe for chicken and biscuits! I decided that I didn't want to bake it so I kept it in the pot once everything was combined as more of a stew. I also paired it with the copy-cat biscuit recipe from pintrest. My husband was pretty impressed. It is a quick and easy meal that made enough for lunch leftovers. Oh, the only other thing, I only did about 1/4 tsp of sugar because my husband doesn't do sweet. But don't leave it out all together, it ads something. Excellent! Thanks

Waffles I

Reviewed: May 12, 2014
Okay, so I already loved this recipe. The only thing I changed was to add 1/4 cup of sugar because I like my waffles sweet. Add however much or little as you want, your recipe. HOWEVER, I have been experimenting with gluten free recipes using pamela's artisan all purpose flour and I have been seriously disappointed in my substitutions the few times I have tried. That being said, I LOVED these waffles gluten free. I might even like them better gluten free then with all purpose flour. Holy Cow they are good. I don't know how to describe it but the texture is wicked delicious and the flavor was sure tasty. For any of you gluten free-ers, give it ago. I did a one for one substitution. Most Excellent!

This was really good! Have children, didn't add the cayenne or jalapenos and did two cans of green chilies. I put one can of white beans in the blender. Love this recipe! Thanks

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
Awesome. I sauteed the onions and celery, added carrots and sauteed them too. I added extra water because I added a ton of potatoes. Then dumped it into the crock pot for 6 hrs on high. I only wish I would have done more roux to compensate for the increase in water but regardless, loved it. Great flavor for so few ingredients. I didn't even add Salt or pepper because of the bouillon. Awesome and easy. Thanks for the recipe.

Caramel Apple Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
Wicked tasty! Great recipe! This takes caramel apples up about 5 notches. I was very pleased with the outcome. Okay, so slight changes to combine 2 recipes from this site but very minor. I used heavy cream with the caramel, about 2 or 3 tbs. A touch of vanilla and half the brown sugar in the cream cheese mixture. No nuts here. Excellent!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
Holy cow. So I thought I could make good cinnamon rolls. Then a few friends made some and brought them over and it sent me out in search for a better recipe. Some people aren't keen on sharing recipes. Love this web site. Then I came across this recipe. I was trying to choose between this and Cinnamon Rolls III. Honestly I chose this one because of how many positive reviews it received. I liked the 4 thousand over the hundreds. So I gave it a try. I don't use my bread machine and did this as the others: a packet of yeast in the warm milk with the sugar for 10 min. Then mixed all the other ingredients with my mixer. I allowed the rolls to cook at 400 degrees for exaclty 15 minutes. When they came out, I buttered the tops just to keep them tender out of habit and then inverted them onto a cookie sheet (now buttered side is down). They were separated and immediately covered with the frosting. It is the perfect frosting. My final comment to end this novel: Amazing!!!! Try it. You will love this recipe! The only thing that I didn't love about these cinnamon rolls is how much weight I am about to gain from making them all the time! Thanks Marsha.

White Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2011
Okay, so I was watching Rachel Ray on TV and got the idea to do a pasta with some mushrooms etc. However, I am prego and for some reason Alfredo sauce sounds awful! So I wanted a white sauce. I found this recipe and I am so glad I did. Here are the minor alterations that I made: Instead of a cup of milk I added 1/2 cup of cream. I wanted a rich sauce and cream did that! I also added some dried thyme. I sauted mushrooms, garlic, and shallots. Then added 1/4 cup chicken broth and diced fresh tomato. When the liquid was cooked out, I added the pasta, mixed it all up and then added the white sauce. AMAZING!!! This Sauce is very versatile. Add different spices depending on the theme of your meal. Thanks for the recipe. It is a keeper!!

Lemon Pie Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
This is a delightful recipe that makes you feel like spring is around the corner in the middle of a January snow storm. I followed the recipe ingredients exactly but, I doubled the filling, and used cold butter in the shortbread crust. The bars were cooked for 32 minutes. Seriously AMAZING! This is my new lemon bar recipe. Give it a whirl. Easy, and delicious!

Baked Apples in Caramel Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
This recipe is awesome! Simple yet so delicious. The flavors combine but the ingredients are so simple. You can make it just fun for the family or really make it look special. I modified it slightly after I made it a few times. I add more carmel into the saucepan and let them melt before adding the cream. I also add a touch of cinnamon. It rounds out the flavor. This last time I didn't have any whipping cream so I used evaporated milk. Still excellent. Top with some redi whip and sprinkle of cinnamon. Wow. Karen was thinking when she made this. Easy and Delicious. Thanks.

Rich Pasta for the Poor Kitchen

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
This was delicious! So few ingredients but great taste! I have never been able to make any new recipe without a trip to the store. I had all the ingredients on hand excluding the parsley and was so pleased with the outcome. I did add the tomatoes and some red pepper flakes. I love the ever so slight kick. I used parmesan in the can and it still tasted great. Awesome recipe! Thanks

Meringue II

Reviewed: May 1, 2013
I just made this with "Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie" from this site. Holy cow! Not only was it perfect for lemon meringue pie but bonus, it is a pretty forgiving recipe. It was huge to start with and after cooling a few hours did sink a little. HOWEVER, flavor was awesome and still had the volume that any lemon meringue pie should have. Excellent. Will make this recipe every time! Thanks for posting.
