Healthy Banana Cookies
This received great reviews from the family. This is what I call a dump recipe - the recipe is great as is, but if you have leftovers of stuff you can dump it in here and it is just more greatness. I used apple butter instead of oil, a touch of honey, instant oats instead of rolled and put in a bunch of spices like cinnamon and allspice. I baked them as bars instead of cookies. They were very flavorful and chewy and made a great on the go breakfast!

Black Treacle Scones
Loved this recipe. I like cooking but when it comes to baking, I'm a bit hesitant but these were easy. The dough was still sticky when all was mixed so added a bit more flour. When all was baked I thought taste was too subtle and would suggest adding more of all the spices and molasses. Next time I will double the spices and molasses. (By the way I used Briar Rabbit Blackstrap Molasses if anyone is interested.)

Apple Spice Rice
Really good! Gentle subdued flavors, a wonderful complement to a stronger main dish. I cooked this exactly as the recipe called for except with extra garlic. A great dish as is but I will definitely experiment with spices! I loved the raisins!
