I’m an artist and a vegetarian foodie. I’ve been a vegetarian for most of my life (20+ years) and love creating simple, inexpensive, healthy meals utilizing fresh ingredients and attempting to abstain from processed foods as much as possible. I believe cooking is all about inspiration, spirit, taste, smell and experimentation. I firmly subscribe to the “dash of this, dash of that” cooking mentality and am often hard pressed to provide recipes to culinary creations. Teaspoons – who needs them? In this day and age of machines my belief is that if my great-grandmother, a wonderful and inspiring home cook, could make delectable food without a food processor or pasta maker, I sure can. Gadgets clutter our home, remove us from our ingredients and although I have a large kitchen I have limited storage and VERY limited counter space. No knife, no machine will make you a better cook – being in tune with your ingredients will.

Anything that doesn't involve yeast. Whenever I attempt to bake something with yeast - it's a failure.
