About this Cook
I'm the mother of six. Two of which are teen age boys (watch them eat!). I have been cooking since I was 10. As a youth I was in may cooking contest. I aslo entered may items in the local fair over the years anything from chocolate chip cookies to handmade clothes.
My favorite things to cook
I can not tell a lie if it is sweet or has chocolate in it I'm making it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas platers to share are the best. My mom and I get together and make some cookies and candies every year to share with family and friends.
My cooking triumphs
Fudge I remember many years ago I had so much problems with it. It was either to soft or to hard. Now my fudge is perfect! I have even in the last 6 years started making many different kinds.
My cooking tragedies
The one that sticks out in my mind (but there has been many) the most is the time I tried to make chacolate cake from scratch. It was awful the cake didn't rise and it took forever to cook. When it comes to cake I stick with Betty Crocker.

A Number One Egg Bread
Nice airy bread but to dry for our tastes. I will try this again and see if it improves. I will add a little more sugar, melted butter and not cook as long (I cooked 29 minutes and it was very crusty)maybe 20 minutes as I see others said. Wish I had read reviews first.

Cream Cheese Christmas Cookies
I love this recipe thanks so much. My christmas platter would not have been complete without them. Wonderful recipe.
