Pesto Quinoa

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
I make this as a side dish with grilled chicken and add feta cheese - it's delicious! I also make a cold salad by adding cucumber, red peppers, green onions, and feta. It's a wonderful lunch in the summer!

Simple Roasted Chickpea Snack

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
These had very good flavor but I was expecting them to be really crunchy, like a soy nut. Though I was slightly disappointed in the texture they were a great snack and we ate them up.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
I've used this recipe a lot and it's pretty much fool-proof. It's very easy and always hardens well. I've used both almond and vanilla extract and they both result in very impressive sugar cookies...try it!

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
Soup was decent after being doctored up with onions, green peppers and tomatoes..plus extra spices...but still a little bland. Can't imagine that it would have any flavor without those additions.

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
This recipe was so incredibly easy and wonderful! I did leave out the spices and added a bit more brown sugar as someone suggested. This made it much more of a breakfast bread. I added the brown sugar last and didn't mix it completely through -- there were pockets of crunchy brown sugar goodness all through the bread! make this recipe!

No Bake Pumpkin Pie II

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
I've made this recipe a couple of times this fall and it's been wonderful every time. Its so fast and easy, people have even asked for the recipe. I do use a whole can of pumpkin and more cool whip and it has always turned out great.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
I made this as a special dinner for my husband but it was not good....at all. I followed the recipe exactly but I did not care for the aroma or the taste. We ended up cutting away all of the outside of the meat to get the sauce off and just eating the inside (with was cooked perfectly, by the way). I don't know why we had such a bad time with this but it won't cross our plates ever again!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
This recipe was easy but the flavor was just o-k (you could tell you made it with a can of soup). I made this because my husband had never tasted chicken and dumplings and I wasn't in the mood to make the real deal. My husband LOVED the recipe and had seconds but I thought it was not like grandma's AT ALL. (He just doesn't know how good chicken and dumplings can really be!!!) I won't make this again.

Pizza Pinwheels

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
I was disappointment with this recipe because it was just sort of plain and so-so. Of course cheese, pepperoni, and bread taste good together so its hard to complain but this dish would be better for kids because its just not that exciting.

Slow Cooker Fruit, Nuts, and Spice Oatmeal

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
I very excited to try this recipe when I had family staying with me for the weekend but I was pretty disappointed with the end result. I cooked the oatmeal on the "keep warm" setting as other suggested and it had a great flavor but the texture was well, sticky, gummy and just terrible. Not for me.

Peanut Butter Cake II

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
I've made this recipe twice for different birthday parties and it's been a huge hit both times! The first time I used yellow cake mix that I already had and it still turned out very good. The second time I used butter cake mix and it made a huge difference - just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it did!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
This recipe is great and very easy to make. It's a perfect recipe to make in advance and keep in the freezer for guests. I make it look even better by adding some chopped reese's and drizzling melted dark chocolate on the top! I know we wouldn't mind to have one of these in the freezer 24/7!
