I did not add the extra sugar. Everyone really enjoyed it! It was a different twist to sweet potatoes!

Pumpkin Cheesecake Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
LOVE IT! Made it for a party with a bunch of girl friends and it was such a hit!! I can't say I was able to scoop it out of the pan to make it look as classy as the pictures but the taste was awesome! I like many other reviewers couldn't find cinnamon chips so I actually thought it might taste good with a little crunch and added cinnamon cereal instead. I will def be making this again!!

Beet and Cheddar Risotto

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
I did enjoy this however it wasn't amazing. The beet flavor was there but I don't know how well the beet and cheese complimented each other. Tasted like it was missing something.

Easy Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
AWESOME! What a great and SUPER EASY dessert! Took the suggestion of some of the other reviewers and mixed the cake mix and cream cheese together and then poured butter over the entire thing. Also I did use fresh peaches but instead of making the water/sugar mixture I used about 1/2 cup of orange juice and sprinkled a little sugar on to the peaches.

Broccoli Quiche with Mashed Potato Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
Turned out great! I used red bliss mashed potatoes for the crust. Also, I had an array of fresh veggies so I reduced the amount of broccoli and added squash, peppers, and leaks to the other ingredients. As others suggested I used 4 eggs instead of 3. Also, used cheddar cheese and smoked Gouda and then sprinkled grated parmigian on the top. YUM!

Smoked Gouda and Leek Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
Took this recipe and used veal instead. When couldn't get our cured meat cut thinly enough so we wrapped the veal around meat, leaks and smoked gouda. Like others suggested we did not melt the gouda, it melted just fine in while the meat was cooking. Also before cooking sprinkled garlic powder, salt and pepper on outside of the meat to give more flavor.

Wonderful recipe! Subbed fresh rosemary for thyme and chicken stock for beef. Also added onions in with the carrots. Cooked with potatoes then served bacon crumbled over potatoes as a side.

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
Delicious!!! Made just a couple changes... Instead of adding the onions to the eggs I added them and finely chopped sweet pepper to the potatoes.. I browned and seasoned the potatoes on the stove top the night before and then layered everything. Also I added bacon bits on the top. Because it came out the the refrigerator and was cold increased cook time to 1h 35min. Cover the first hour. Everyone loved this dish on Christmas morning! It was filling enough for us to make it until an early dinner but not too heavy. Will make again, may try other variations of cheese and meat for variety.

Pudding Chocolate Chippers

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
Awesome cookies! Got a lot of complements. Came out nice and soft! I took the advice of some other reviews and used 3/4 cup shortening and 1/4 cup butter. Also, I only had 2 small (1.5oz) pudding boxes totaling 3oz pudding instead of 3.5oz. Will defiantly make these again!

Cheddar Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Awesome recipe! I made a couple of little changes, I did not have cereal so I added a little extra bread crumbs. Also I used chicken tenderloins so it took only about 25minutes to cook. For the cheese I used a garlic cheddar which added great flavor also I added some Parmesan cheese. I cooked and served the chicken over rice.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Delicious frosting! I've made it for both chocolate and lemon cupcakes, both were a hit! Added fresh cut strawberries on the lemon cupcakes; icing held strawberries in place and tasted great!

Savory Grilled Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
I made them twice in one week very yummy! Instead of using onions I did use half of a shallot, I don't like a strong onion taste. The first time I made them on the grill, flipped them once, great smokey taste!! Second time I made them in the oven at 425, too about 50minutes to cook. Def would recommend grilling them for the smokeiness but in the oven turned out very yummy too!

Mock Lemon Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
I brought this cake to a party at work and everyone loved it! I made it as a sheet cake so it would be easier to cut and share with a large group. I also did add about a table spoon of sour cream into the cake batter to make it even moister. Great recipe and easy to make!
