Hi ya’ll! Today hubby and I took a little road trip out of state. I had a destination in mind for it and since it was so close to another RE member, I contacted them about having lunch and meeting each other. After mine and hubby’s little excursion we headed for the restaurant. We got there first, I told the hostess that we were meeting another couple for lunch, but we had never met them before. I must have sounded insane, (which is pretty much normal for me) now that I think about it! Anyway we sat up in the front and I put an Allrecipes orange bag on the table, so they could find us. About 5 minutes later they showed up. Hugs and handshakes all around. Then we sat and just looked at each other. I didn’t even know where to start talking or what to say. I just sat there stunned, then the conversation started flowing and we talked non-stop for 2 hours. Both hubbies generously let us yak and carried on their own conversations, LOL! Although we did include them at times. Burgers and beer for 3 of us, although I only drank half of mine. Too much talking to drink or eat. We had a fabulous time!! I wanted to take pictures, and I did. The other person was a little shy about their picture being posted. See if you can tell who it is….. meet the “Unknown Allrecipeeps”!

I'm going to be the oddball here and say that the cigar is too obvious however Ohio and Michigan does make sense. Or does it? Geography has always been a weak subject of mine :) Okay, I give up. Ginny if you ever get back to my area here please let me know. I'd love to meet you!

So hubby and I went to Bronners Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth MI on the little road trip out of state. I was thinking about it back in August because he had taken a few days off work for our anniversary and I have never been there. He hates to shop! Since I knew it was fairly close to Midland MI, I asked Mominator about having lunch with her and Dadinator. She agreed and we set up a date, time, and place. The cigar gave it away right? I thought the picture was hilarious! She is a sweet, funny, and caring person. We had a blast! Since she doesn’t have any pictures of herself posted I decided to do it this way. She told me I could post the one of her and I without the bags, but I decided it was more fun this way. And no, she doesn’t really look like the smokin’ cigar lady!

Oh Great! Now there is NO Way I could think of her NOT looking like she should have a cigar stuffed in her face:) LOL.

Sep. 10, 2010 8:37 am
Is she smokin' hot at least....gotta throw a little fireman humor in there!

Sep. 10, 2010 8:38 am
Great, I knew it. How about a picture of Dadinator then?

A thread with SOL and the Mominator in it is always fun to read. I would have given anything to be a fly on the wall in that restaurant. TEE HEE

We did have a fun time, and it is great that the hubbies go along with it, LOL. Redneck Gramma, we talked about you too! How if you weren't clear on the other side of the country, or even in this country, it would have been great to have you visit!

We DID have fun! Sass was so sweet to bring me a jar of Tony Packo's pickles and peppers and she got me the cutest wine steward/Santa ornament from Bronner's. I, of course, brought no gifts. I'm just sensitive that way. I wish several other REers could have been there! Hope you had a great anniversary, Sass!

Thanks Mom! I wanted to gift you, I didn't expect anything in return. It's all good! I'm just glad you enjoyed it. Anniversary was good. I did my thing, hubby did his thing and we got together and went to dinner. Had a Jamaican Breeze. Was pretty tasty!

Any time you can meet a fellow RE'er, I say go for it. It has been fun meeting so many this year. I don't travel as much as we used to, but close trips for lunch are doable.
