what happens when baking bread machine bread and the top deflates?  I just made Buttermilk Honey Wheat Bread and the top deflated.  I'm so disappointed because I was hoping this would be the "IT" recipe for homemade wheat bread.  I also made, yesterday, some rye bread from this site and… MORE

About this Cook
My cooking tragedies
My husband and I hadn't been married long and we were on a tight budget and my mother had given me a subsciption to Taste of Home. There's always a section on feeding your family for like $1.19 or something like that and so I thought that would be the perfect way to keep on budget. The meal was supposed to be potatoes with the taste of pizza. It was supposed to be meatless. So I doubled the recipe thinking that we could have several meals on it, including lunches. We're eating and I'm asking what he thinks of it and I'm getting a less than enthusiastic response when all of the sudden I realize I had forgotten the most important ingredient - the pepperoni. That was how the dish was supposed to get it's pizza flavor. We've been married now almost nine years and in that time that's the only thing he's only asked me never to make again.

Easy Homemade Chocolate Sauce
Very easy to make and it reminded me of my Grandmother's homemade chocolate sauce. This is definitely a keeper.

Best Ever Beef Marinade
This truly is the best marinade. I marinated a london broil for several hours last weekend and it turned out pretty good but then marinated the second london broil from the package for a week and that was even better!!Definitely keeping this in my repetoire.

Banana Banana Bread
I love this recipe! Every time I make it I double it and send one to work with my husband. His coworkers love it too.
