Mom's Turkey Sausage Patties

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2014
This recipe is definitely a keeper. My kids love it and they are hard to please when it comes to meat. My husband loves it as well. Wonderful flavor - great texture,

Garlic Mashed Cauliflower

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2014
I made as per the recipe and it wasn't good at all. The consistency was really too smooth - almost silky which I found to be off-putting. My kids were not into it either. The flavor was odd and the texture was too weird.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2013
So good! I let mine cook all day in the slow cooker (set on Low) while I was at work and the chicken came out wonderfully moist - not dry like some slower cooker chicken. Both of my kids enjoyed it too which is a huge bonus!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2013
These are yummy! I replaced the flour with whole wheat and substituted applesauce for the butter / oil and they turned out quite nicely. I split the sugar 1/2 cup white sugar and a little less than 1/4 brown sugar (I did less because of the applesauce). I added 1/2 tps Cinnamon, 1/2 tps Nutmeg and 1 tps vanilla. I also omitted the crumble topping. As I write this I realize that my version seems like a huge bummer but I swear they were yummy and my kids love them!

Instant Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
Very yummy & very easy! I let the mixture boil for 3 minutes and once it was mixed with the oats and made into cookies they set in about 10 minutes.

Gulliver's Cream Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
AWESOME! Makes a generous amount and is always a crowd pleaser. I omit the MSG just as a personal preference - I have made it both ways (with and without) and can't really tell the difference. Truth be told, this recipe is so good I claim it as my own. No one has to know I'm not a culinary genious, right?

Easy Toffee Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
I tried this recipe and did not get "pretty" results. The butter & brown sugar mixture did not properly absorb into the cracker so when it was completely done it was butter & brown sugar layer, dry cracker layer, and chocolate layer instead of one properly mixed dessert. Granted, I took the advise of one of the reviews and followed their adaptations that was slightly different than the original recipe. IF I were to try this again - which I probably won't - I'd follow the original recipe and ignore the comments and adaptations. It was a bit of a mess and a waste.

Charline's Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
I love this recipe! I make it every Thanksgiving - it's a family favorite! It is very sweet - probably more of a dessert dish for some folks but we include it with the meal instead of the desserts. I'd eat it all of the time if I could!

Delicious Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts and the recipe was okay. Nothing "yowza" about it but it was good. My chicken was done after the inital 45 minutes. It was a touch dry but I'm pretty sure I just let it sit a little too long so my advice would be to serve immediately.

Chile Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
Very good! Followed someone else's suggestion and cooked the pork in a covered dish in oven at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Meat was tender and juicy - but it never got "crispy" as stated in the recipe but it also never dried out either. It was very good. The spices worked well together.
