Me and my husband
About this Cook
My husband and I moved to Midlothian about 6 years ago. We're still not sure if we like it yet...lol. I have a 5 year old son, Cody, a 3 year old son, Keegan and a newborn Juliana. I love to cook! Baking is probably my favorite thing to do when I am stressed. I also decorate cakes for friends and family. I'm always looking for new recipes!
My favorite things to cook
Four Cheese Lasagna, Cubed Steak with Gravy, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Snickerdoodles and Strawberry Pie.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was a little girl I loved going to my Aunts house to help her cook. I hope to teach my kids how to cook and hope they will enjoy it as much as I did when I was their age.
My cooking triumphs
When I made my first Strawberry Pie. The instructions weren't as clear as I hoped so I made up my own recipe. It turned out great!
My cooking tragedies
Burning Cookies! I have recently discovered parchment paper and using the same icecream scoop to keep the cookies uniform :)

World's Best Lasagna
I made the recipe as written. I have to agree that there is way too much salt. Next time I'll leave it out. The ricotta cheese portion needs doubled and you'll be left with left over sauce for spaghetti later in the week. Overall a good recipe just leave out the salt!
