Chicken Bouillon Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
Im giving this recipe three stars because it really needs some revising. I used one bouillon cube per one cup of water and added butter, salt, pepper and oregano to taste. I also added some broccoli pieces. Turned out great! Perfect side dish and any left overs are great for lunch!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
I have made these a few times and they always come out so good! Both times I made them, I completely forgot the buttermilk. So I made my own buttermilk by putting two tablespoons of lemon juice and a little less than a cup of milk in a bowl. Let it sit for five minutes and its instant buttermilk. The cornbread still tastes great too! My husband eats these until they are all gone. Its a keeper!

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
AWESOME!! These were so good I had people stopping by the house just to try them after hearing how good they were! I didnt change a thing except using less oreos for the crumb topping. Instead of 9, I used 4 and I still had more than enough left over. I did, however, use all 36 oreos for the filling. The dipping was a bit challenging so I used two forks to pick the balls up. Dont be discouraged when you see the fork marks -- they get covered when the chocolate runs off. After sitting in the fridge for a few hours they look amazing! I will definitly be making these again....and again!

Spicy Sausage and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
Great recipe! It is very spicy but because Im a "spicy dish lover" I was very happy with the recipe. I took other reviewers suggestions and cooked this on the stove. After putting all the ingredients together, I covered the pan and let simmer for about 20 minutes so the rice could cook, then served. I also used one 14 oz. can of diced tomatoes. Its less than the recipe calls for but honestly, I didnt even miss it. It was perfect just the way I made it. You really cant eat a lot of this in one sitting since its so heavy but that only means theres left overs! So easy and ingredients you always have hand. Definite keeper!

Peanut Butter Fingers

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
Im giving these five stars even though I completely screwed them up! I thought a 9x13 inch pan was much to big so I used an 8x8 which was perfect. I had more than enough drizzle so next time I'll cut that in half. VERY rich but delicious! I plan on using some of my batch for crushing up over ice cream....cant wait!!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
This recipe is one of the best I have found on allrecipes. My husband is constantly asking me to make this again and again! I agree with other reviewers when they say to make more sauce then what is suggested in the recipe. I would definitly triple the ingredients for the sauce, if not more. Absolutely delicious!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
FANTASTIC! I made this for my family holiday party and it was gone in the first hour. My only problem was how watery it was. I tried draining the salso but it didnt help . Regardless, this was an awesome dish. I will definitly make this again!

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
Great dessert! I made individual trifles and added strawberries. They were a huge hit! Im making this again for a Holiday party tomorrow but in a trifle bowl this time instead of the individuals. I also decided to double up on all the ingredients since I found there wasnt a whole lot last time. This is so easy to make and a definite crowd pleaser!

Chicken and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
This recipe is FANTASTIC! The only reason why I'm giving this four stars and not five is because the recipe definitly needs a few tweaks. For the broth, I used cream of chicken, chicken broth, milk and SOME water. I really think if I used all water it would have been a tasteless soup. I plan on making this soup again and again! Yummy1

Squash Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
This was a fantastic recipe! I did however, change this recipe a bit to my own liking. I used zucchini and yellow squash along with the celery, green peppers and onions and because I overcooked some chicken while defrosting, I cut it up into pieces and added it to the stuffing. I didnt think the flour would be enough for seasoning the chicken so I used salt & pepper, a thin coating of bread crumbs and then sprinkled paprika on top. I put the chicken in the oven for 35 minutes or so and then broiled for 2 minutes which made the top of the chicken nice and crunchy. My husband and friends raved about this chicken! Will definitly make this again!
