Ghirardelli® Dark Chocolate Truffles

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
Tasty. I didn't have any utensils to help make these into balls and the chocolate melted as soon as it touched my hands. I ended up pouring this into a square 9X9 and cutting it into squares. Not traditional, so everyone kept telling me they had never had fudge that good before. They were delicious - creamy and delicate.

Alabama Fire Crackers

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
Simple to make and everyone thinks these are delicious. I do cut down on the amount of red pepper. However, I thought the seasoning did not distribute evenly when I cut down on the oil. Much better to just dump it all in there and focus on the taste, not the calories.

Martha's Spanish Rice and Sausage

I had some leftover green and red bell pepper which I added. I also used the entire 8 oz can of tomato sauce. This was a delicious meal and easy.

Limoncello

STRONG!!! You just need a splash or so. Add to lemonade and/or tea for a refreshing, simple summer cocktail.

Mojo Grilling Marinade

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
I think this recipe was pretty good; it just needed more kick. I marinated a whole chicken 24 hours and baked 350 for an hour and a half (tented with foil), then removed foil and baked 450 for 30 minutes. I also poured a small amount of marinade over the bird, cooking breast side down. Most tender chicken - I had no trouble cutting into pieces. I may use this recipe again, but I will definitely up the spices.

Red and Green Christmas Jalapeno Jelly

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2012
I used a cup and a half of jalapeno, omitting the red pepper. I removed all seeds and ribs - next time I will leave the ribs to add some heat as this was very mild. Good jelly and I received numerous compliments. I'll definitely make more. WEAR GLOVES!!! I didn't even think about it as I have chopped jalapenos before with no issue, but not in this large amount. It came on very gradually but my fingers were on fire all afternoon and night. This was after washing them repeatedly, applying aloe, soaking in milk, cleaning with alcohol then Goop, applying A&D ointment (don't do this), pressing lemon/juice onto them and finally resting in sour cream. Not a joke folks.

Tangy Mediterranean Tuna Salad

Too olivey and too smooth. If I make again, I will cut down on the olives and just mix ingredients together.

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
I don't like lemonade but I had to use up some lemons. The lemonade itself is great and I have had many compliments. I have even been able to enjoy a glass myself.

These were good and I'll make them again. My only complaint is they aren't as good as grandma's, but nothing ever is.

Slow Cooker Barbequed Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
This fed 3 adults and 3 children with plenty of leftovers. Everyone enjoyed it. I cut down some of the liquid after reading the reviews, but still had a lot of juice left over. I also put mine in the oven for a few minutes after chopping it to brown it and add a little crispness.

Pasta and Garlic

I must have done something wrong. There was not nearly enough flavor, only the vaguest hint of garlic.

Best Strawberry Daiquiri

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2011
Very tasty. I did cut down the amount of lemon and lime for my own personal preference. I also cut down the amount of alcohol. Do not let the cocktail fool you, even with a little less alcohol this packs a punch and it's so delicious you won't realize the amount of alcohol you're consuming!

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
Very good for pasta salad. Even though it says to add dressing right before you serve, I would suggest letting it rest. It was fine when I first served it but so much better the next day.

Simple BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
I lowered the salt to 1 Tbsp and it was much improved. If this recipe didn't call for so much salt, I would change my rating. Original review - Way too salty! This recipe called for 2.5 lbs of ribs, I had 4 lbs. I can be timid with salt so I decided to trust the recipe and go for it (I added the 2 Tbsp, I did not add more for the additional ribs). I ate seconds on the veggies and bread because I couldn't eat the ribs. I love salty food too. I want to give this a four because I think some adjustment on the salt and these will be fine. However, I have to judge on what I got.

This was pretty good. It's great for a barbeque chicken substitute because it's sweet but the seasoning gives it a nice twist.

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
I do not like the green "spinach" rotini, so I will try this again with unflavored rotini. The flavor was nice and improved the longer it sat. If possible make ahead for optimal flavor. I did not have a problem with this salad being dry and liked that it was not creamy.
