Strawberry Cake from Scratch

Delicious. I was concerned that after cooking 30 minutes my cake was still very runny, so I ended up cooking it about 45 minutes. I used the Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting and added the leftover strawberry puree to it. My hubby loved this cake.

I used this with the Strawberry Cake from Scratch. I added leftover strawberry puree. This frosting was delicious before and after addition of strawberries. This is a great standard icing.

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Tasty. Very easy. I even screwed up the directions by adding the meat before cooking the noodles and this still turned out really well. I cut down the amount of water to maybe 3 cups and I ended up adding some salt and pepper.

Chocolate Pound Cake III

Delicious. I have been looking for a chocolate pound cake recipe that will be as good as my mothers - this one is very close. It is dense so it's difficult to get through a big piece. I will probably add a couple of minutes to cook time. Even though a toothpick came out clean, I think some additional time in the oven would have helped. It was a little too gooey in a small area. I am not deterred though, I will make this again and again.

This was fine. I have another recipe I usually use, but thought I would try this one since it was a slow cooker recipe. I think I prefer my other recipe. This was a little too watery for my taste, though the flavor was nice.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Used the advice in several reviews and doubled the icing - I wish I hadn't. Way too sweet for my husband and I. If you love sweet and sugar, double icing; if not, make as is. These were delicious and I will make again. * I made this again and cut the sugar in the icing by a third. I also only added a small dab to each roll and let others add icing as they needed. Those who added icing did so sparingly. Next time I will cut the whole icing recipe down to half along with the sugar. I also only used two Tbsp butter and the icing was still fine.

Pot Roast in Foil

Delicious. Simple to make and the end product is wonderful. I was worried it would be too salty but it wasn't at all. I made no adjustments to this recipe though I'm sure adding some veggies would be good too. Served this over rice. For the minimal amount of work this takes, you get great flavor.

Oat Bran Muffins

I thought there would be more apple flavor, but I think for this recipe, the apple sauce is more for moisture. I was initially disappointed thinking I was making a sweeter muffin, but these are very good for bran muffins. My company enjoyed them. I am giving a 3 rating for my own personal preference but they would easily get a 4-5 for anyone who enjoys bran muffins.
