BAKER'S Chocolate-Peppermint Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
So easy, and so delicious! Used semi-sweet chocolate, crushed candy canes, and white chocolate for the top. Used a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. If you need a quick Christmas gift and are sick of baking, this is perfect!

Baked Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
Wow! So good! I used bone in chicken instead of breasts. I also traded crushed rice krispey cereal instead of bread crumbs. My husband and kids loved it. Also very easy. Not too many steps or ingredients.

Unstuffed Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
Very good! I thought I had some instant rice left but turns out all I had was brown rice. I used it, but added some water to the top of the cassarole and baked it for at least and hour and a half longer. Nice flavor and the leftovers tasted even better for lunch the next day.

Tina's Shortbread Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
Very good and easy. I took a chance and used margarine instead of butter. I didn't stir the chocolate chips in but rather let my kids "decorate" them before I put them in the oven. Very easy shortbread recipe, and I will be keeping it for the christmas season. I am excited about trying it with different flavors, nuts, etc.

Pan-Roasted Chicken with Lemon-Garlic Brussels Sprouts and Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2012
I am giving this recipe 5 stars because my whole family loved it, and ate it up without complaining! But I must admit I had no bacon, so I skipped that step and also used drumsticks instead of breasts. I knew that the drumsticks would cook fast, so I baked at 375 C and cut my potatoes into eighths instead of quarters. Turned out great!

Man-Lovin' Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
Tasted Great! I didn't add the bacon because we ate it as a side dish to a pork roast. I also didn't boil the potatoes first. I was running short on time so I put the sliced potatoes and onion in the microwave for 10 minutes. Will make again!

Homemade Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
fantastic recipe! I had tried to make tortillas months ago with another recipe on this site. My arms were aching trying to roll out the dough. I decided to try again today with this recipe which was MUCH easier to roll out nice and thin. My family loved them. Will definitely make again.

Homemade Wonton Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
So I gave this recipe 5 stars because my husband and kids loved it. I wasn't a fan, but I've never been a fan of wonton soup. I didn't use bok choy, or the shrimp. But I did add a can of those chopped baby corns. It was fun to make.

Scalloped Potatoes II

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
I loved this recipe! The only thing I did differently was to add some pepper and I added some sharp cheddar cheese to the top after the potatoes were done, and let the cheese melt and brown in the oven. I was bothered by some of the comments made about the recipe about making a roux. I picked this recipe so I could skip the whole "getting out a pot and whisking" part.

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
Tasted Great! Although it made alot! I cut the recipe in half and we still have leftovers. For 4 people with a side salad and garlic bread, a quarter of the recipe would probably be plenty.

The Best Potato Salad

Awesome! I had no relish, but used my mini chopper to finely chop a few pickles, and was out of mustard, so I used mustard powder.

Zippy Zucchini

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
Loved it! The bottom element in my stove went out, so I thought this would be a good side dish for the microwave. I cut up half of a giant zucchini I had. I didn't have parm. cheese, so I used sharp cheddar. I microwaved it for about 20 min., then put more cheese on top and put it back in for a couple more minutes. Easy, quick and tasted great!

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
I struggled between 4 stars and 5 stars with this recipe. Yes, I have had better, but they were deep fried and not baked. I used bbq sauce instead of hot sauce because we were eating these for supper with 3 small children. But my family ate them up fast, and they were easy to make, and tasted great! So, 5 stars it is.
