Bacon Mushroom Chicken

I thought this was great, but a little heavy. I followed other reviewers advice to cook the bacon before putting over the chicken to make it crisp and cut the grease way down. I also added a little chicken broth in the bottom of the pan. I used more cream in the sauce and added just a little flour to thicken and served over egg noodles. Will definitely make again!

Amber's Sesame Chicken

This was so yummy! I followed some advice & tripled the sauce, but it would have been better just doubled. The recipe never said to drain the extra oil, so I just put the sauce in with the chicken, veggies & oil. The sauce stuck to the fried chicken & when done, I was able to just scoop these delicious crispy chicken chunks in yummy sesame wrap right out of the hot oil & eat over steamed brown rice. Will be added to our regular dinner rotation!!!!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Perfect - so easy & yummy. I cut the recipe in half (and also did the sub with the oil for oil, butter and applesauce as the others recommended along with subbing out some of the white sugar for brown) LOVED IT ... so did the preschoolers for the Halloween party. Thanks!

Fresh Tomato Pasta

My daughter does not like garlic, so I couldn't add the garlic to our pasta water. However, I followed the recipe as written and sprinkled garlic salt on mine after plated and it was fantastic. I think JCC's adaptation sounds good too so will probably try that next. Great, simple and fresh pasta recipe. Thanks!

Chicken Noodle Casserole

This is a great family recipe. We all take a job of cutting some of the ingredients and we make it together. It does create a lot of dirty dishes, but it is worth it in the end. This has become a weekly family staple that even the kids love. There is rarely any leftovers. Thanks for sharing!

Quick Italian Vegetable Soup

Loved it! What a great base for veggie soup. I left out the celery, but added some kidney beans, potatoes and a can of tomato sauce. Soooo good. I think I'll try some crumbled cooked ground beef next! That would make a hearty dinner.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

We don't like celery, so I left it out. Used boiled ham bone stock instead of water. Was great - we all had seconds (and thirds...) My husband said it was just like his dad used to make as he was growing up! Thanks :)
