Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

I made this the other day and it was pretty good. I followed the recipe exactly. I have never used the five-spice, but wanted to try it. It did give it an unusual flavor, but my family all liked it. I think I will make this recipe again, but will add some veggies--onion, broccoli, sugar snap peas, water chestnuts, etc. Would definitely bulk this up and make it more of a one-dish meal. Thanks for the recipe!

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Altho' I have not tried this---yet---I love fried rice and this sounds like a good one. A couple of things I might add are fresh mushrooms, a can of bean sprouts (or fresh bean sprouts), and definitely, scallions! Yum!

Homemade Flour Tortillas

Just made these and they really are good! I was a little skeptical only using 2 Tbspns shortening to 4 cups of flour, but they turned out great. I got 16 tortillas from this recipe. My family raved about them!

Quick and Easy Mexican Chicken

I would give this recipe 5 stars--easy and tasty! I have also made a crockpot version. You don't even have to thaw your b/s breasts, just put them in the pot, pour a jar of your favorite salsa over them and cover. Great supper with lots of sauce to put over rice!

Honey Baked Chicken II

Made this as written, but think I would prefer using a brown spicy mustard. Family liked it and the sauce was good over rice. Thanks for recipe!

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

I tried this recipe and when I put the sauce with the macaroni, it seemed like macaroni soup! However, I didn't bake it right away (about 2 hours later) and by the time I did bake it, it was perfect. All that cheesy goodness had been absorbed by the mac! It was the best mac & cheese I've ever made!
