Fresh Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
Delicious - chewy and very gingery. Only cooked them 10 minutes and that was just right. If you are not a big ginger fan you may want to cut back a bit, but overall they were wonderful!

Frozen Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
Very tasty. Thawed well and baked up golden and yeasty. The kids gobbled them up in a flash. Love the fact that you make a bunch and keep them in the freezer for that homemade taste. Infinitely better than Pilsbury! The only drawback is remembering to take them out 3-4 hours before you want them, but you can't have everything. They are worth the effort.

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
Very tasty and easy. Reminded me of chicken paprikash. Didn't feel like I needed to make any changes. Served over egg noodles. Thanks. Will make again.

One of those rare, wonderful recipes that requires no changes or tweaking and is made up of ingredients we always have on hand. Entire family loved it. Thanks!

Jeera Fried Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2006
This was so good. The flavors are so complex and wonderful together. Because my family is picky and prefers plain white rice, I cooked the rice alone (for them) and then followed the rest of the recipe, only skipping frying the rice. I added some of the cooked rice into the skillet with all the cooked spices and onions. Yum! Thanks.

Chicken Dijon

Reviewed: May 17, 2006
Family loved this. Husband said to add it to our menu frequently. My only changes was to add a bit more mustard, sprinkle with bacon bits & mozzarella cheese and broil to melt the cheese. Outstanding flavor!

Grilled Salmon Kyoto

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2006
This was great and very easy. My only changes were substituting orange juice for the concentrate and chili oil for the tomato sauce. Next time will let it marinate a little longer since my fish was thick.

Brandy Flamed Peppercorn Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2007
Very tasty, but cut back a good bit on the peppercorns unless you are a big pepper fan. The sauce is fantastic. We served it over the steak and rice. Very impressive presentation. Thanks for a delicious meal.

Blackened Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2006
My non-fish-liking husband enjoyed this dish. In fact, it's the only time I remember him eating his whole serving. Worked well blackening it on a cast-iron skillet on the grill. Thanks!

Herbed White Bean Spread on Garlic Toasted Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2004
I thought this was wonderful: tasty, out-of-the ordinary, and relatively simple. Did not have fresh sage so used dried. Not too popular with my kids, but who cares! The adults enjoyed it very much.

Baked Egg Casserole

Reviewed: May 21, 2004
This was very good for Easter brunch.(Used up a lot of those hardboiled eggs!)I split the eggs in half and served it over toasted English muffins. It was almost like Eggs Benedict. Everyone at the gathering (except my most picky eater) had seconds. Served with a fruit salad, juice and coffee to offset the richness, and it was perfect!

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: May 21, 2004
Great change of pace from ordinary salad! I found pre-packaged spinach with almonds and dried cranberries, then added the strawberries and dressing. Made it so easy. I did substitute balsamic for white wine vinegar and would advise to cut back the sugar a bit. But overall, wonderful!

Sauce Rosee

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2004
Everyone in my family really liked this, including all 4 kids (some of whom are PICKY). Husband commented several times how much he liked the sauce. Followed recipe pretty closely, although I did leave out the pepper and bouillion. Delicious!

Cocoa Cherry Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2013
Wow! This is extremely delicious. The pork is very tender and flavorful. Having that meat thermometer hit 145 is critical - it keeps you from drying out that expensive tenderloin. My only gripe is with the vinegar sauce. I cooked it longer to let it thicken and burn off that sharp vinegary flavor. In fact, next time I will use balsamic vinegar instead. Will definitely make this again for my hard to please brother-in-law and see how that goes.

Seared Tuna with Wasabi-Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2007
Excellent flavor that doesn't overwhelm the tuna. It's also easy and doesn't take very long to pull together. I had to substitute rice wine and red wine vinegar for the listed ingredients (that's what I had on hand) and did cut the butter in half - that was plenty, but otherwise followed the recipe and was very pleased with the results. Will definately make again. Thanks!

Broccoli and Sausage Cavatelli

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
This was a surprisingly big hit with even the pickiest eaters in our family. My only changes were to saute about about a quarter cup of onions with double the amount of garlic. I have been told to double the receipe next time so there will be leftovers for lunch. Thanks, will be putting this on the menu rotation. Update - don't mix parmesan in with pasta - sprinkle on top at end to keep melted cheese from sticking to the bottom of the pan. Looks prettier, too.
