I love cooking! Sometimes I follow a recipe exactly, other times I like to use a recipe as an idea or starting point and add my own little touches. It's fun discovering new flavors and recipes!
My favorite things to cook
I have several things I cook almost weekly like meatloaf and chili. I also love pasta and frequently experiment with adding different veggies and sauces.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love baking at Christmas with my mom. We do lots of different cookies and we always do strudel.

Hudson's Baked Tilapia with Dill Sauce
I didn't modify the recipe except for heating the sauce and it was excellent! The dill sauce complements the cajun seasoned tilapia so well! This is going in my favorites for sure!

Layered Casserole
This most definitely made my favorites folder!! I altered it a little. I used an Italian blend of cheese in place of the cheddar and a can of chunky spaghetti sauce for more flavor. Awesome result! Tastes like lasagna but soooo much easier and quicker to assemble. I've already passed this recipe on to my sister and I am now a big hit with my brother-in-law :)

It's Chili by George!!
Awesome chili! Not too spicy, not too mild, just perfect. I made a few minor adjustments due to the absence of a few items in my kitchen. I didn't have cayenne pepper, so I used 2 dashes of hot sauce and in place of the fresh onion and green pepper I used a frozen mix of onions and three peppers (red, yellow & green). Turned out wonderful! I've already made it twice and plan on making it over and over again.
