Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2014
Fast and delicious. I used the broth from boiling a ham bone, instead of water, as someone suggested. I also put in extra onion and celery, just because I always do. And the powdered chicken bouillon I use is low-salt. My husband and I both liked it very much, though he likes ham and I don't.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2013
I made this for supper, and found it a bit too rich and salty. It would be wonderful for a church supper, where everyone takes just a small portion.

Chicken Breasts with Olives

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2013
Very easy, and, to my mind, very good. But I like olives a lot. Changes--I only had Meyer lemons, so I used a few of those (they're small) for the juice, and savory instead of tarragon. I used up all the garlic I had, but I don't think it came to 2 tablepoons; it was about 6 or 8 cloves. I made it with two big chicken breasts, each sliced into two slices. My mouth is watering just thinking of it. My husband, less fond of olives than I (and, again, I had only small, pimento-stuffed olives on hand, so I used a lot of them), thought it was okay.

Honey Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2013
I loved the sauce, though I don't usually like mustard. I think it would have better, though, had I sliced the chicken breasts thinner or cut them up, as others have suggested. They were rather tough. (But that could be because of microwave thawing.) Would be good with rice.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
Great! I used muffin tin liners and it made 12 regular-sized muffins, using one six-ounce clamshell pack of blueberries. I used less than a third of the topping. Very tender, exceedingly delicious. (Because I had some on hand, I used Ceylon cinnamon instead of cassia cinnamon for the topping; either would work, but the Ceylon is milder.) I tried them with blackberries, too, but the blueberries were better. The flavor is mild, true, but delicious.
