***My suggestions for beginning bakers, preheat the oven before mixing anything; do not over mix the batter because the bread will turn out tough; wait the 10 minutes before taking the bread out of the pan, this gives the bread more moisture. *** I made about 1/3 of this recipe to use in a 8 in tart pan. I kept the same amount of almond extract and poppy seeds. Turned out moist and decently soft. It could have probably turned out better if I had made the exact amount the recipe called for so that I wouldn't have to guess at the baking time, which for me was 35 minutes. Overall, I would use this again and make the correct amount. Simple ingredients and easy to make. Tasted sweet, but not too sweet. It's even better the next day and when it's cold.
